  1. I respect that they're taking their time with these games but it's actually ridiculous how silent they've been. If it's coming 2021, great. If it's coming 2022, we'll be disappointed but we'll respect them for not leaving us in the dark.

  2. the panic may start when they realize Sonic Team resents Paramount for their successful Sonic movie and as a result will sabotage Sonic out of resentment. As this is their pattern since the beginning.

  3. I think we need to renew our thought process of these older game series, every 5 years making whole new games for the same franchise just to give a few days worth of an experience is getting tougher. I think we all need to slow down.

  4. Imo Sega doesn't have the ressources inhouse to develop the game and I guess the developpement was rebooted not too long ago. They don't show the game because it is just doesn't exist yet.
Sonic Team has proven so many times in recent years that they don't have any good developpers to rely on. All the unleashed/colors members have been hired by nintendo. They worked on mk8 and mario od…
Just poor project management, team management… Pure sega usual bad strategy. Hope i'm wrong !

  5. At this point its not even panic, I've accepted that we aren't getting a game this year. Even if they announce one, odds are it will be a 2022 release. Now if this game turns out to be a dumpster fire; which I personally think it will… Not pessimism, I'm basing my assessment on Sega's track record throughout the 2010s; serious questions need to be asked as to what the fuck they were doing for those 5 years.

Also E3 isn't happening this year either, it was supposed to be going ahead as a digital event but it was cancelled earlier this month.

  6. You seem like a sweet guy. But please don't say buzz words like "panic". I have a lot of friends in this fandom who are very impressionable and panic easily.
Sonic. Is not worth panicking about.

  7. No of course not

What ever game they announce will come out in 2022

We've already got plenty of mearch a TV show that card game everyone is pissed about for some reason the comics

In anything but the games sonic has been doing great

Honestly everyone's worrys doesn't come from anything except people using sonic 06 a game that came out OVER 10 FUCKING YEARS AGO to worry about something now

    And their patience growing thin

So here's my advice to everyone

Stop acting like 06 is revent and just try and hold out for at least 3 more months

  8. After the success of the Sonic movie they have to be working on something, Sonic's become a hot name again. Comics, toys, mobile games, a Netflix series in the works, a game will be coming. Unfortunately the pandemic set everything back especially in Japan, so the delay isn't really unprecedented. Announcements has been rough though I understand the raw nothing we've been seeing is frustrating. Sega got hit especially hard so they've probably been dealing with restructuring first before making big moves.

  9. My guess is that Sega is going to announce the next Sonic at the 30th anniversary concert along with a Trailer for Sonic Prime and Sonic Movie 2 and having the next Sonic game coming out in 2022 would be great as Sonic Prime and Sonic Movie 2 will come out the same year and both the Show and Movie will help the game sale well.

But Sega needs to be transparent because The Sonic Fanbase is harassing Sega, It's like if Nintendo was radio silent on Smash Bros. and they don't announce something with Smash Bros. the Smash Fanbase will harass Nintendo on saying "When's Smash? Where's Smash?" I feel like harassing Sega on Sonic will just make the Fanbase look worse. I don't want the next Sonic to end up like Fallout 76 if Sega is going to release it this year so if it comes out in 2022 to coincide with Sonic Prime and Sonic Movie 2 that'll be great

  10. honestly its better if we wait longer because as sonic fans we all know what happens when sega rushes a sonic game it doesn't go well so its for the best that we wait but also knowing sega and the sonic franchise the game will probably be dogshit like the rest unless its like mania 2 or something like that but even then i think that sega would fuck it up somehow as they are known to do
