You don't need to move stuff. Just dump stuff in food and resource storage in the old village and pull it out at the new village as needed. Distance does not matter
You don't need to remove the guy from excavation shed. He will work like normal from the other side of the map and produce the same ammount
It's winter, you need tons of building supplies and you need firewood. I'd stockpile 'til I burst then build my new storage at the new site before stockpiling S'mores – or ya know, some more.

You will get sick of repairing the wattles every season, upgrade your walls and roofs that you plan to keep to stone, and get limestone to upgrade them. Do this for the houses you want to keep. The mine also has no distance so you can put it on a cave w a house and let it get you iron.
