  1. With upscaling Dino crisis still looks good today, while Dino crisis 2 backgrounds suffer from their low res. In your footage we see the jarring mismatch between the sharp 3d models and the blurry backgrounds. I like both games but dino crisis 1 is the superior game imho, mostly because of the ambiance.

  2. I played Ace Combat 3 way too many times in my teenage days. It was AMAZING. It was super futuristic for its time. That's when I fell in love with Ace Combat series.
And Megaman Legends was a game that it perfectly fits as a PS2 game. Good choice of games!

  4. It's incredible how many of the most graphically impressive games on the system were also the beginning (or at least some of the first games) of successful franchises
Soul Calibur, Wipeout, Ace Combat, Dino Crisis, Parasite Eve, Soul River, etc.

Gotta say the obvious thing but… what an impressive console it was the psONE!

  5. Maybe I’m the only one but I feel it at least partially hypocritical to run games in a higher resolution in an emulator than then original resolution. Specifically in videos where you speaking about how they are graphically impressive.

  6. As good as some of those games look it's hard to go back to 25 FPS in PAL regions for games like Soul Blade and Wipeout, especially when their sequels were 60 fps. I'm not sure what Driver 2's frame rate was, but it felt like single digits at times

  7. Omega Boost is so good that no one would have thought the PS1 could have been pushed that far. Dino Crisis 2 is so much fun and great to play. Too bad the third game killed the entire franchise. It would be great to see a rerelease of the games now. Parasite Eve 2 is great as well.

  8. What about Silent Hill? It had great lighting effects for its time, and also thanks to the fog effects there were very few loading screens while exploring the town.

  9. Awesome list mate but I had to cringe to 2 points you made in your 1st 2 entries, 1st off unless it was a 3D rendered game the PS1 was utter trash at replicating the Arcade experience, 2ndly also (look I know it's 'subjective') Dino Crisis 2 in no way shape or form is as good as the Original Dino Crisis! 🙂

  10. Great work! My only critique is that you used upscaled, higher-resolution footage to show off these games and how they're graphically impressive; I feel like showing them off at their native resolution would've been way more effective ^^

  11. What's the point of making a video about great looing graphics on the PS1 and then show games running in an emulator at a much higher resolution than on an actual PS1?

  12. Love the vid, hate the misleading footage lol Although it looks great, it's probably best pointing out this is not what the games look like on the original playstation. They've clearly been enhanced with an emulator. The original games look far worse than what the video showcases

  13. These games are still cool BUT You are running them on an emulator upscaled and filtered. I think this need to be mentioned here or people won't understand when they eventually run them.
