  1. idk how i really feel about it. I know we are in trying times at the moment but how much financial stability can NOBULL offer in 3 years (were the pandemic still going to be a thing i imagine) that Nike can't offer. Plus, if they wanted to make Crossfit a more known sport why make a 3 year deal on the top event of the sport with a Crossfit niche brand? Whereas Nike or Rogue are humongous in the industry, known in many other sports and have one of the biggest marketing engines of the market? At the end if they made the deal with NOBULL at least some money is coming our way, so thats a yay yay for the games!

  2. This makes a lot of sense actually. The Reebok relationship went sour. Nike and Rogue already have a large market share in the CrossFit space. Why would Nike and Rogue spend a bunch of money to be the title sponsor when they are already well known in the CrossFit community? Nobull is a company that needed the exposure and publicity. Personally not excited about Nobull products as of now, but we’ll see what they come out with.

  3. Ultimately it seems like a “buddy with money” motivation behind going with them. Erica Rosa (who I really like) called the guys who own the company “his friends”, which isn’t the smartest thing to do in a press release if you’re trying to make it seem like it was an objective decision for the good of the sport. If the prize money they’re offering is the largest in history, maybe that’s what swung it for them. I’m sure Nike and Rogue responded to the RFT but Rosa went with the company who was gonna put the most money in. Ultimately it’s his job to grow the sport so time will tell if this was the right move. Personally I don’t think it was coz money isn’t the only thing to consider. Just reading the comments across all SM let’s you know exactly what kind of company that are and everyone can’t be wrong.

  4. I heard the short snippet of Hello by Kes The Band at 0:17. Glad to hear Trinidad soca being played globally. When Covid-19 has eased up you two should come visit Trinidad and Tobago to experience the culture yourself. WODs included 💪🏽🤜🏽

  5. I've seen nobull increasing their sponsorships YoY but their kit is pants and largely unappealing. Really curious what other companies were in the reckoning.

Also… So far we haven't seen positive signs from the new CrossFit leadership imho .

That's a BIG warning sign for me. I hoped, at the least, to see CrossFit start a reach out program to the establishments that delisted. Show that they REALLY are a community led org

What we have seen is the open anounced where you seem to be forced to pay a fee to join, even if you are only joining for recreation. CrossFit is lossing it's opportunity IMHO

Erm… What was the question again?

  6. CrossFit chose NOBULL because they were the only brand willing to affiliate with CrossFit after last year. They couldn’t get a better sponsor if they paid a company to do it. It’s just too bad for brand reputation and brand image management. Wait the three years, let time pass from the shit show that happened last year, and a company like Redbill, Nike, Apple, etc.will be on board. Right now, it’s too fresh and brands are scared to be anywhere near CrossFit.

  7. No Bull for the game for sure as it is getting more & more audience around the globe – the brand speak itself I supposed & speaking of the rewards will surely a game changer & will up lift the game itself. Congrats to NOBULL & the game is ON.

  8. Really thought Rogue were going to get it! Worst case Underarmour or Nike.

This is really left field. They're a brand I only know from one thing: very expensive shoes that nobody really seems to like, that they never change, and are really hard to find outside of the US. It isn't a very international kind of move, which surprises me.

Here's hoping it's a good partnership and they don't limit athletes to only wearing their merch!

  9. Eventually it does not matter. The Crossfit hype is over. Participant numbers in this year's Open will drop – we all know it. Crossfit will not grow anymore. Big names are gone, so are the big brands. Won't be the best investment for No Bull. Be interesting who will take over sponsorship in 2024…

  10. Im not a crossfitter but a fan of watching the sport and for me this is a massive step back. It's a very insular decision where the opportunity could have been there to really grow the sport. Will this hit athletes more also as if they have the footwear deal does this stop other athletes wearing their own shoes. With the pricing structure it does appear an elitist brand so not sure what it does to grow the sport but time will tell.
