OUTER WILDS: Finding meaning in one of my favourite video games

Outer Wilds is a complex game that encourages the player to uncover the mystery of the Nomai and the Universe at their own pace. I recently played it for the second time and tried my best to figure out what it’s trying to say.

I’m not saying I’m right or wrong, this is just a short video essay all about how I perceived the Outer Wilds and the meaning I pulled from it. I’d love to hear what you pulled from it!

  1. Loved this. I will forever preach the incredible experience Outer Wilds provides, and your perspective and the idea of connectedness is another reason why I love this game so much. Thanks for making this! Great video.
