Contrary to popular belief, there are new video games coming out in April. Big AAA releases? Maybe not, but there are 10 new PC games out this month that are worth taking a look at. So, what are the best PC games coming out in April 2021? Well, while the Steam demo failed to inspire, Outriders could be the comfort food shooter we all need right now. Also – a game I know I’m looking forward to playing – Oddworld: Soulstorm is more than just an Abe’s Exodus remake, as new additions make it sound like a completely fresh game in that universe. So what new games are coming out in April? As already mentioned, People Can Fly’s Outriders might be worth a look; the third-person shooter with superhero powers could be a decent game to co-op with friends. Total War: Rome Remastered is a shinier version of the game you dumped hundreds of hours in over the last 15 years. And, speaking of new old games, Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is a remake of the original Nier, which is sure to excite fans who jumped on the series with the great Nier Automata.
As well as all that, when it comes to new PC games, sci-fi squad management RPG We Are The Caretakers has great potential to be something special. Godstrike looks like one for masochists, as it’s a boss rush game where time is maybe your biggest enemy. And Don’t Forget Me – a sort of mix of The Red Strings Club and Her Story – is this month’s most interesting looking adventure game.
If you’re wondering what should I buy or what new games can I pick up over the next month, then you’ve come to the right place. Obviously, you should wait for reviews to be sure, but we can confidently say there are some cracking new PC games on the horizon.

Hey, thanks, for the roundup! While April is sparse, as the Summer goes on (virtual E3, Summer Games Fest, etc.) we should get more details about games everybody is looking forward to e.g. Starfield, etc. The pandemic looked like it was going to delay games by one or two years, but many studios adapted quickly to WFH, and are still on track for their 2021, 2022 release dates.
Really excited to have a new Abe's Odyssey game so i can walk around saying "come wit me" all day

What's that hex-based climbing game at 0:22? Looks intriguing.
The cloud-game at 0:09 is Rain On Your Parade btw. I've played the beta and let me tell you it is surprising and delightful and fans of Donut County should check it out.
Pre-ordered Nier but on PS4 as Automata was a bit of a mess on PC, might be better when it's released for it rather than ported later but I'll stick with what I know and i'll be able to play it on PS5 anyway.
