  1. Valheim is PHENOMINAL, I was honestly taken aback when I saw how it just blew up. I watched one stream on it, decided to pick it up, played a good deal of it and have LOVED it. I decided not to play too much seeing as I want to lean most of the game while I'm playing with my friends, so I wait for them to get it and then get deeper into it. However, from what I have played, to what I have seen… the game has surprised me with how it delivered so much and it isn't even a final product yet. The future for this game looks bright.

  2. I think what you pointed out is that the game actually does make compromises with the player in regards to both its RPG elements as well as its Survival. Else, you would have those mentioned much more strict scenarios like other survival games (Thirst, death without food, repair requirements, etc.) Same goes for the RPG mechanics, in that you are ostensibly defining your own role via how you play and how you skill your character. This game actually values the player's time and commitment, and rewards it instead of exploits it. It gives players agency while restricting them just enough to form a valuable progression system.

  3. Bro just wait till you see the planned update roadmap for Valheim. It’s hype, like when RoR2 released their first big roadmap. So much good content planned already.

  4. It's crazy. My friend and I bought this kinda on a whim because 1. We like survival co-op games and we had exhausted 7Days to Die and The Forest, 2. We're both suckers for Norse mythology and vikings, and 3. We kinda fell in love with the style once we were in. Like Woolie says, there are so many things that make this game amazing to play! Yes it's early access and yes it has SOME issues, all of which are minor and are more annoying than stressful or game breaking. This world is H U G E and honestly exploring it is so much fun and also terrifying. Zooming out, picking a direction and then just GOING that way to see what you'll find is honestly just awesome. And again this game has only been out for A MONTH!!! I honestly can't gush enough about this game. Give it a try, embrace your inner viking, and make Odin proud!

  5. Lol, I was looking for something to play with my Gf and a friend, they checked it out and said "ok", so I straight out bought 3 copies of the game based on my lil brother's recommendation and I didn't even had seen a screenshot. Totally worth it.

  6. I'm usually at woodcutting level 30 before the first boss. Why? What do you mean why? Do you expect me to live in a one bedroom/kitchen/crafting/storage shack? Hell no. There's no other game I've played that gives me as much amazement from its base building as I used to get playing with sofa cushions as a child. I can spend an entire day building with nothing but a stone axe and wood.
