More than four years in the making and after a few delays, People Can Fly’s Outriders is out on April 1st for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and Google Stadia.

As a brand new IP from the studio that brought us Bulletstorm, Outriders is a third person action RPG looter shooter that may seem similar to the competition but has its own unique hooks. Let’s take a look at 15 things you should know before buying the game.

  1. All these looter shooters just look like the same old shit wrapped in different packages 🤷🏻‍♂️.
None of this is an original idea just slightly tweaked and resold.

  2. You NEED to know that this generic Looter-shooter live service will probably be forgotten in a couple months, tucked away in the same dark place where Anthem is.

  3. Point 16 the UI is designed for a PC NOT a console just like destiny so you have the horrible floating curser to deal with.

Point 17 ANYBODY at ANYTIME can just drop into your game.
I was on the demo early level with the trenches just learning the controls and some ass dropped in and killed all the bad guy's so I learnt nothing.

In short great graphics but that's it. This game needs to go back to the drawing board 😒

  4. There’s this lie going around that this game isn’t live service. Yet, it requires an internet connection to play, and it requires persistent support from the devs (in the form of updates, patches, and possible dlc) in order for its environment to be continuously functional for players.

If the devs stop supporting it, the game literally dies.
It’s a live service game. Plan accordingly.

  5. Out of all those type of games Th devision 2 and Destiny 2 will be there best. Outriders is one hell of a lazy game. Even if they took a copy of outher looter shooters, i expected them atleast to execute it way better than they did. Guys try demo before you buy. And look if there is perspective in that game.

  6. Game is not ready for full price. Demo was fun but got old fast, poor shooting mechanics, only 3 person co-op, no in game chat system, server issues disconnect/lag, and the main thing for me anyway…game got boring playing solo and only was interesting in group but no chat and grinding the same end-game missions over and over agian before a DLC drops.

  7. Serious ? Is it decent/on par with the "division" game mechanics wise or is that a big NAH?? It looks interesting, but my back log (games) is already STACKED! J.w. if its worth taking out the time at all??

  8. -The Division cover system
    -Destiny like specials and abilities
    -Anthem like art level design
-Gears of War like movement and gunplay
-throw in some Remnant from the Ashes character/weapon design with some effects
-enemy types similar to all the above

seems like alittle of every looter/ coop shooters smashed into one game

  9. All games should get a demo. God I miss DEMO DISKS from the 90's. The demo was good BUT it really shows off how bad the AI is/was and how weak and corney the story is. I had lots of fun but the worst part of this game is the world design and cover system. They literally went back 10+ years and made a very gernic gameplay. The game is 100% linear its not open world and you are on rails the entire time. It is NOT worth $60 its at most a $40 value here. Its an ok game but is nothing new and is not next gen.
