Outriders has Cross play – 3 Max players – Demo Progress will carry over when you buy the game – Multiplayer sucks if you are playing with someone from the other side of the world

Demo β€œGameplay Review”

My initial thoughts regarding the gameplay of outriders while playing the demo. I’ve clocked in around 19 hours before giving my thoughts on this. I haven’t touched the classes yet. I mainly talked about gameplay here and where square enix and people can fly can actually improve Outriders before the release on April 1, 2020.

I use ps4 to play so I'm on controller but I see alot of bugs over this side as well with game going randomly into menu in mid fight, after using the teleport skill to go behind enemy u get stuck, we also cant roll into cover as well and the load time on ps4 is horrible and some very unneccessary for example to jump over a bridge that to get to another part of the map ur already on load, to start the side guest load. Alot of loads. Anyway game is super fun. Assault rifles are weak in the game compared to shotguns and sniper significantly. My white tier lvl 200 shotgun out dps my legendary lvl 320 assault rifle. They need to balance that.

  2. I've yet to find time to play the game. Already downloaded it.

    Weird how some youtubers complain about the cover mechanics. Is it that different to division 2? Or you guys just haven't played that game despite claiming fans of looter shooters?

  3. Good thing you don't care about the story or lore in this game. Not necessarily cringe but very, very bland and it still gets eternal cutscenes to portray it. That, all the compromises needed in world and area design to make cover-to-cover combat work and the general clunkiness make it pass for me in its current state.

  4. Thank you for explaining some of the nitty gritty problems here! I can confirm that yeah, the cover system feels awfully strange.

    Another thing I'd like to add is that I think that the commands for rolling and commands for getting into cover should be switched around. Typically that's the way it's been in other games, you use Ctrl to Crouch and Space to Jump. Having switched that around and making it awkward to reset the bindings has made it a little frustrating to adapt to.

  5. My issues with this is that it feels no different than Anthem or Destiny. It does nothing new to separate itself from the cliche run-n-gun, and this review reinforces that. Godfall wasn't spectacular but there's no other games I can compare it to. I'm glad they're still updating it
