  1. Yeah last night I was using this skill tree page to have an idea where to go with the skill tree and man that was hard to figure out. I usually at a pace to complete as much before hitting end game but this may the 1st in a long time that I'm going to do main quest then grind side quests

  2. you can finish the game in 4-5 hours if you stay at world tier 5 like whats currently capped in the demo and not change it. or you can take your time, be challenged and scale, you will need balance because when you die you lose all progress with your world tier and it downgrades, so you have to take your time if your looking to challenge yourself, and be versatile because your ability's and powers will not work on all enemies, be safe lol.. cause your in for some crazy shit.

  3. Well said! Such an important point that needs to be highlighted more. Take your time guys, enjoy the ride!! Monster Hunts looks amazing, they honestly seem to have squeezed yet another genre into this game. Crazy.

  4. Viability is one of the reasons why I disagree with the statement of "PvE doesn't need balance!". Balance in a PvE game revolves around making every possible build combination viable, aka useful and decently effective, to whatever respective niche they fill in gameplay. If I have a sniper rifle and a shotgun, the sniper should be effective at long range, while the shotgun should be more effective up close, which constitutes balance since each excels at the niche or role they're supposed to with the appropriate pros and cons. On the other hand, if my shotgun is also capable of sniping enemies from afar then suddenly the balance is destroyed, since why would I use a sniper rifle if the shotgun does the job too? It essentially makes the sniper rifle a non-viable choice, and thus superfluous, a "choice" that no one would ever pick because it can't even excel in its assigned niche. Basically, the goal of balancing in PvE is to ensure that players have meaningful choices in how they want to play without feeling like they're intentionally gimping themselves by choosing a non-viable build. (I mean you can always make a non-viable build by picking the worst tools for the situation, e.g. trying to use a freezing spell on an enemy with high elemental resistance, but such issues should be because of the player making sub-optimal decisions, not because the game's tools are not up to the task).

Obviously balancing is a very difficult task for games that typically have hundreds of variables at play when it comes to systems that interact with each other, but it is important to ensure that the game remains fun through variety, instead of everyone just flocking to the new ultimate meta build that makes all others obsolete. From the onset, my impression of Outriders is that it's doing a good job of providing a lot of viability to different build choices and playstyles, and hoping that holds up well in the full game.

  5. That's how players burn themselves out, they always try to rush to be the first to end game, to get all the powerful stuff, end game is not running away so why rush to it🤷‍♂️ you're not gonna get an award for doing that so why not just take your time and soak in the game, enjoy it, explore, find other little hidden stuff or side stuff to do, that way you'll enjoy the game more and appreciate what your money was spent on

  6. Rushed? Oh definitely Destiny especially the first one due to my 5 year old fire team always trying to be ready for all evens, raids, etc. Destiny 2 not as much but still pretty bad. I think in some ways The Division as well and but there too, the first more than the second. I think I actually took my time more for TD2 to soak it all in.

  7. I agree…No one should be running into endgame. It will be pointless bc the build variety is extremely huge and vast. So even if you see a build video, the build that you may be working on could be better. I'm going to take my time and work on two characters that I'm comfortable playing: Devastator and Pyromancer. See you all out there!

  8. I mean you can rush to end game but you gonna want all 4 classes there so you're gonna play slow for the story once and then speed the other 3. So regardless it's gonna take you a while and I think the story is actually really good.

  9. The Devastator might be busted with the amount of damage you can tank but all the classes look valuable at end game. Plus the class was made to be a up close and personal. I love it.
