  2. Yes, it is possible Microsoft will make future Bethesda games Xbox/PC exclusives however given Microsoft's business model, it seems more likely they will be timed exclusives with Game Pass day and date release…later released on PS and Switch for full price.
Phil Spencer has previously admitted the Xbox console is not the priority…
Game Pass is Microsoft's priority so timed exclusivity with Game Pass day and date release makes sense.
Just as Sony is starting to release PS exclusives later on PC for additional revenue, Microsoft may decide to release 1st party games later on PS at full price.

  3. I don't really care, played a few minutes into Skyrim tried PSVR mode as well but again just a few minutes, then not gone back to it, did not even buy Doom Eternal, so the acquisition doesn't really affect me

  4. Phil Spencer meant exclusives on a singular platform are a bad thing. All Xbox games you can play on a console, on a phone, or on a PC. The only exclusive thing about these games is that they’re on the Xbox ECOSYSTEM. But if you want to play it on a console, there’s a console for that. If you want to play it on a mobile device, there’s an option to do that. If you want to play on a PC, there’s a service on which you can play them on. They’re tied to Xbox as an ecosystem, but they’re available on multiple platforms. Btw the other day the Xbox Twitter account told a user to buy a PS5 if that’s what his friends game on, and that he’s always welcome to join Xbox in the future. I really don’t know what the big deal is:

“Don't think of it as a missed opportunity! Gaming with friends is incredibly valuable and more than enough reason to go with a PS5.

You can always pick up a Series S or Series X later down the line or go with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to play with us on Android or PC!”

If you’re hung up about PS5 vs. Xbox in 2021.. I’m afraid you’re years behind the conversation.

  5. Best place to experience bethesda games , just mean gamepass , maybe time excl. But i think just GP. And how suprising that some xbox youtubers read : only on xbox 😂😂 if they were excl he would have said : only place to experience bethesda games.

  6. I know Playstation did this for years, but to be honest, I did not like the acquisition of Microsoft, cuz Microsoft isn‘t the company with good gaming experience, I cannot trust them and with this in mind Zenimax is probably a too big fish for Microsoft.

  7. There had to have been existing contracts on other platforms for games that were already in dev. I imagine new IPs from Bethesda, after the acquisition, will be "exclusive" to Xbox but probably not existing titles…??? They take Bethesda game OFF of platforms, its not going to help their PR lol

  8. Don't expect DLSS performance with AMD's Super Resolution as Nvidia are usually better at the software and features side of things than AMD, but yeah AI upscaling is awesome and both the PS5 and Series X will benefit from it.

At this point we still don't know what Phil Spencer's comments actually mean. when he says "some new games will be exclusive to PC and Xbox" or whatever the exact quote is, he could be thinking about games like Deathloop, Indian Jones and Ghostwire Tokyo as all those games are coming to the PS5.

I don't think Microsoft will ever fully address the whole exclusivity thing around Bethesda because why would you commit to something when Bethesda may want to work on a game that actually makes sense for it to be on the PS5, like a free 2 play game or a live service game like ESO 2 or whatever. I think it will be a case by case basis.

  9. I don’t think their games are going to be exclusive to the Xbox. I mean, if they were, why wouldn’t Phil just say it now? It would be a major win with absolutely no down side. They would start selling more Xboxs’ and subscriptions TODAY because of it. The fact that they’re being ‘clear as mud’ about they games that they freaking own, tells me that Phil knows he’s going to piss off a lot of his player base so he has to break it to them slowly.

If he just came out and said “our games are not going to be exclusive to xbox”, imagine the hate, imagine the trolling, imagine the vitriol he’d have to endure for the foreseeable future. Of course he doesn’t want to say it.

Now imagine if he came out an said “our games are going to be exclusive to the xbox from now on”, he’d be a freaking hero. They’d be building statues of him. He’d go down in history as the most loved xbox guy ever!

So why don’t they clarify the situation? These trillion dollar companies leave nothing to chance, they know exactly what they’d doing. I bet they have the next 10 years already planned out.

Face it, all signs point to bad news for xbox gamers who want these games to stay exclusive. Microsoft just don’t want to burst their bubble right away, when they know they still have years before they need to publicly disclose their plans.

  10. Putting aside any talk of mid gen refreshes and all that jazz
You have to accept that there is a reasonable chance that if/when games start to utilise AI for Resolution up sampling, RT for Global Illumination, reflections, volumetrics, plus RT for audio, ML Inference acceleration for NPC AI etc this is when the higher number of CU on XSX and the hardware acceleration of all RDNA2 features could be quite a difference.

Any solution thats software based on PS5, as is apparently the case for a couple of features, will not be as scalable.

  11. To think Software could literally transform the leverage hardware has to such an extreme is crazy. This machine learning is the biggest break through for gamers since polygons. Hands down. Raytracing can take a bench. This is 🔥
