Ultrimar got wrecked by my boys the death guard. But you’re right about it being hard to choose a favorite faction since they’re all cool if you separated into the imperium,chaos and xenos, my favorites would be the mechanic(bc of belisarius cawl & I love cyborg races),DG( with the emperors children being a close second because they have some of the cooler named characters like Fabius bile)and the tyranids.
Also if you’re ever looking for something else to branch into I’ve often seen Warhammer act as a gateway into the SCP universe and vice versa
That flaming sword is the Emperor's sword and it is imbued with his psychic power. It is possibly the only weapon the Imperium has actually kill daemons.
Trying to kill a daemon with any other just makes them respawn in the warp.
The space marines dressed in black with the different colour shoulders are the death watch and isn't a chapter but a special group formed by members from multiple chapters working independently from their own chapters it's the only place this happens as even in a conflict where a number of chapters are present their members never mix squads in the same way.
Anyone else remember when Ultramar got it's shit pushed in by the World Eaters and the Word Bearers? Good times.
A majority of art is Gamesworkshop produced. They had to hire really good artists to accompany the Horus Heresy books. But their art really elevated in the 90’s due to a small company that started to eat into their market share and whose designers and sculptors were also amazing artists. When that company went bankrupt, those artists were hired by GW.
Oh when guilliman rose from stasis resurrected by an Eldar who is the herald of the Eldar death god and given a new suit of power armor by a Tech priest there was huge battle going on around his tomb consisted of his Ultramarines, sisters of the battle, black temples, grey knights, saint celestine, against Choas space marines, demons and followers and when he rose from his stasis the whole battle just stop, both side just stop fighting and stared at Guilliman the first time in 10 thousand years a living Primarch, a son of the Emperor had returned
This silence lasted for quite of a few moments everyone in shock especially the Ultramarines them seeing their lord, their gene father standing and living right in front of them
But the silence was broken when one single Chaos space marine decided to go full leeroy Jenkins and charge at guilliman now I give him credit for bravery but guilliman with one hand just swipped him across the room and he died instantly that cause the battle to restart lol
