Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is coming to the Switch on February 12, 2021, and it couldn’t come sooner! Not only is the base game incredibly well reviewed, but the new content from Bowser’s Fury looks astounding. But was this always the case? It seems that when Mario 3D World came to the Wii U, and for a few years after, this new game had the community split for a while. Was Mario 3D World a good game or should it have been more like Mario 64. Parker has noticed this shift in perspective since the game is in hindsight and wants to talk about his excitement for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury as well as the change of heart that seemed to happen between its first release and today. Hey! the Wii U is amazing and Nintendo’s best console!
This is the best Mario game ever!
3D world was and is my favorite mario game.
I left video games at the beginning of wii. Then came back for switch. Damn Zelda.
It looks like the characters have more density and momentum which was my only problem with the game. And from day one i assumed Bowsers fury would be a smaller side thing and not a fully fledged second adventure.
Unfortunately Nintendo described Bowser's Fury as "short but action-packed", and given that they admit it's short, it's going to be short

I played Mario 3D world on the Wii U and I’m glad that online is a thing to upgrade the base game and they also added an odyssey type mode
Personally, Mario 3d world was the first 3d Mario game I played and I really liked it but it wasn't my favorite, ill double dip if the online is good and if bowser's fury takes at least 3 hours, also if it goes on sale
I loved the main game and it's really long too. Bowsers Fury will make this well worth the price.
Hopefully they enhance and port Star Fox Zero, NES remix, and the Zelda games!
Zelda > Mario. Love me some 2D Mario, none of the 3D games are fun to me. Bowser's fury looks interesting and I might give that a try, but it's not a needle mover for me personally.

i remember when the game originally came out, it was the same night the OG xbox one was releasing in North America and I went to my (at the time) local GameStop for the midnight release. There we're a good 30 people there and I was the only one there for 3d world. They let me skip the entire line so i could get my game and gtfo while they got the crowd set up on their consoles. The wii u era was depressing for Nintendo fans lol
The thing is, back in the Wii U era, we wanted a new sandbox style 3D Mario, as it had been 11 years since the last one at the time. Now that we got what we wanted, we can appreciate 3D World for what it is.
That motivational speech at the end was fantastic and totally unexpected!
The Galaxy and 3D World engines are the most beautiful Mario engines. I’d love a full sandbox Mario games with 3D world’s graphics.
I always heard about people saying that 3d world wasn’t the best and now I guess everyone is exited for the game now
No we didn't like it cause nothing was on the switch it good just not what the Wii u needed at the time already having new Super Mario Bros u on the same console
