  1. I know nothing about lore, so forgive me if this is a silly question. Would Cathay or Araby be considered good? Araby (the map) is already in WH 2, and GW has already discussed Cathay. Also, side question. Is Ind a neutral faction? The books honestly never appealed to me, but I really love the game. Thanks in advance.

  2. This "could / would / should" videos are not my favorites. Its speculation at best. At worst its poorly constructed narrative why something could be or cant be. Big fan of you though!

  3. I can't bear the thought of Kislev not being a base race in game 3. Would hate for every race to be Chaos aligned. Great for those that like Chaos but sad if you don't and feel like game 3 have nothing worth playing so you stick with game 2.

  4. I just don't think they CAN be a base game faction, assuming they would have to get a minimum of 6 LL's, there just isn't enough for that. I expect a norsca style pre-order DLC being Kislev with some units copied from the empire and a few unique ones making a mixed roster and Kislev having 2 LL's just like Norsca.
and with the current DLC for DLC we've been seeing for Wood Elves, Kislev might get another DLC once there is more old world info on Kislev in the far future.

  5. Kislev, Chorfs, Ogres, and Chaos Daemons seems most likely. Since, you know, people like them. Cathay would be cool, so would Dogs of War. Honestly swapping out Chorfs for DoW might make sense. Then the game launches with 1 good 1 evil and 2 neural armies

  6. I think it's inevitable. They are in the north of the area that will be focused on (the east side of the World's Edge Mountains), they are the main "anti-Chaos" bulwark (with Chaos undoubtedly being a focus of TW3), and they are the last remaining lore-developed force of order in the world to be implemented (even if Tilea/DoW were considered 'good', they aren't anywhere near TW3s area). The Old World may represent a wrinkle with them, but ultimately it's for the best they work here. There simply aren't any other "good" nations unless CA is about to pull a blinder and do someone that GW has never touched, like Cathy.

  7. I think Kislev is too small of a race to be a base game race. It is difficult to place them anywhere else other than Kislev. A base game race need to be larger and more expandable.

  8. I know he's being a troll about the whole DE vs. BM thing, but I think Indy's speculation video on WHIII makes the most sense: Ogres, Chaos Dwarfs, Daemons of Chaos, and Kislev as base game factions, with Dogs of War as DLC. I'm not sure about the last bit, I think it could just as likely be Cathay as Southern Realms, but I think the rest is a pretty solid line up.

  9. While I think Kislev's a very likely race to have as game 3's main humanoid race, I wanted to point out that having Kislev as the pre-order DLC could mean we'd get Cathay as a base game race. This would mean that game 3 would start with two human, good-ish (because while Cathay does seem to be the good guys, I think they may start with one Chaos worshipper, since Tzeentch is apparently openly worshipped over there) nations, which would mean more options for players wanting to play the good guys in the new game. Which might be a reason for CA to do something like this.

It'd also mean making the game 3 map larger to include the far east, and would be very nearly, but not exactly a confirmation that CA planned to implement Nippon and Ind (and Khuresh too, I guess), especially if the game 3 map started off with Ind and Khuresh. Because for all that we've talked about map expansions coming with DLCs and how they happened with 3K, it's probably a good idea to remember that all the major map expansions that happened for Warhammer happened in the Mortal Empires map, with the Vortex map having a couple of provinces and regions added to the existing map by redrawing borders and moving/adding settlements rather than the entire map being expanded. Basically like the difference between the Empire map overhaul we got with the Empire Undivided update vs. the parts of the Dark Lands we got since then. With 3K, CA had the benefit of working with only one map and expanding it when they saw fit, while for game 3, much like for game 2, they'll be juggling two maps and trying to make the game enjoyable in both, and I think it's very possible that in game 3, like in game 2, their top priority for map additions and overhauls will be the huge-combined-map. Because if they do add entire factions alongside their homelands to the game 3 map, they'll have to work on both maps which is a lot of extra work for DLCs.

Now CA obviously has and still is experimenting with post-launch map expansions in 3K, but if game 3 is done the way game 2 was, any races that CA plans to, or at least wants to have the option to add would likely get their homelands in the game 3 map. There was nothing really native to the Southlands when game 2 first launched; Kroq-gar and Queek were just at the South-Eastern coast for plot reasons and the rest of the massive continent was populated by clones of other races, a huge chunk of which was later replaced by the Tomb Kings. So, if they start with Cathay as a playable race, they could have Ind, Khuresh and Nippon present but full of clones, with maybe a couple of playable LLs sprinkled around the way Kroq-Gar and Teclis (and even Morathi, though as a master of subtlety she only moved across the continent and not to a new one) were sent away from home when game 2 launched. Like a possible Tzeentchian Cathay lord starting at Khuresh doing Chaos things to some Lizardmen clones, or an Ogre hanging out at Ind and dealing with High Elf and Cathay clones to feed his unending hunger for spicy local delicacies, or Katarina in Nippon with Cathay clones because something something Russo-Japanese war.

…I'd like to reiterate that I don't think any of this is all that likely, no matter how hyped I visibly am for it. It probably won't happen. But I do think it'd be cool if it did. I certainly wouldn't mind all the extra landmass to play with even if we don't get the related races, because just the Dark Lands and the Mountains of Mourn seem like a very small addition to the Mortal Empires map when compared to the first two games and those two would get pretty bland if they were all we got to see throughout game 3.

  11. im expecting a warriors of chaos rework, chaos daemons, and ogre kingdoms as a new faction, I would like to see Kislev and possibly southern kingdoms getting the uniqueness they have in the lore but im not expecting it, but you are right that they need a poster boy good race which the only option would be Kislev unless you dig into really obscure stuff. alternatively they could pull an endtimes thing with 3 where Chaos is the poster boy faction, I wouldn't like this outcome personally since endtimes left a bad taste in my mouth for the table top but its the most believable outcome atm, and chaos needs a huge rework to be able to pose a threat to the inevitable order tide.

  12. I personally agree that Kislev will be a starting race, alongside Chaos Divided, Chaos Dwarfs or Ogre Kingdoms, and Cathay. With Dogs of War/Southern Realms, or Amazons as the pre-order. Whatever doesn't end up in at launch will likely be a race pack along with Nagash. I've seen some people say Nagash could be a pre-order, that might work, but I'd hope he doesn't get treated the same way Norsca was, and personally he'd be kinda too important to be just a lord pack to tie in Tomb Kings. Doesn't mean it won't happen, just that I kinda want him to be a bit more separate. I've also seen plenty say that each Chaos god's faction will be it's own race, I doubt this because of the fact not everyone likes Chaos (I certainly do, but that's me). And it'd be a lot to ask for four races of Chaos, from a business perspective I think it's unlikely. So I believe there will only be two Chaos races, Divided, and Undivided. Sigvald would have to be moved to the Slaanesh faction in the Divided race, and then you could put Belakor in Undivided. I think Chaos Divided will be like Tomb Kings in that it won't be able to confederate the separate god's factions. So at most we'd get maybe 2 to 3 legendary lords for each god by the end of the life cycle for the series. I know it's a bit sad given the sheer number of characters in Chaos lore but I think most people would get very bored if the game was filled with dozens of Chaos characters in game 3.

  13. Looking at the new release of "The old World" I think it's safe to assume that the 4 starting Races are going to be: Kislev, Chaos Dwarves, Chaos Demons, Ogre Kingdoms.

Also DLC Incentives are shit pls no 😀

  14. I only play good factions so if they want my money they better be there. Otherwise I will wait until the big map comes out with all the older factions. I mainly play High Elves, Dwarves, Empire, and Wood Elves pretty much in that order. I really want to like Bretonnia but I just can’t. I am not good with cavalry.

  15. I want to see Daemons of chaos, Ogre kingdoms, Chaos Dwarfs and Kiskev as starting races.

I honestly prefer if CA don't release a race as pre-order, it's better if they release them as dlc.
