I'm sorry, but this whole tokenization thing is getting super old. As a person of color in America, I've never been so uncomfortable with being "represented". I wonder if these show writers understand that they don't have to steal preexisting characters, in fact it makes it seem like they don't believe a character of color could thrive on its own merit. Stop doing this please, not every popular character needs to be gender or culture swapped or turned into the antithesis of their original archetype, just to make the show "edgy". It's incredibly annoying at this point.
