Cyberpunk 2077 is finally out! However, it is wildly janky across all its launch platforms including the Series X and PS5… but it’s particularly buggy on last-gen consoles like the PS4 and the Xbox One.
Of course, there were a few indicators leading up to launch that the game would have some bugs and after all CD Projekt Red did officially delay the game three times. Only PC copies of the game were sent out to reviewers and some were even told they can’t use their own footage of the game in embargo compliant reviews.
Now that the general gaming public has finally gotten their copies of the game it’s become really clear why. Cyberpunk 2077 is really, really broken on consoles. Some players reported sub 20 frames per second as well just an extreme level of open-world jank.

Consoles are for children and special needs people. If you're and adult, get a gaming PC. I've got 30 hours playtime on the steam version so far and had only infrequent minor visual glitches.

Man, IDGAF that it sucks ass on last gen consoles. Do you see how complex this game is? The game is already held back due to last gen compatability. I wished this was next gen and pc only so the game could have been even better but noooo.

i get that the PS4 and Xbox 1 are 7 years old now but i still expect the game to run smoothly. for example i brought Assassins Creed: Vahallah the same day i bought Cyber Punk and Vahallah runs a lot better on my base Xbox 1

don't get me wrong this sucks and cd project red does hold responsibility but we the public screaming at them to get this game out as soon as possible aren't blameless maybe we should have let them take their time to work out bugs
I think we forget about how witcher 3 was when it first came out… and after several updates a lot changed… probably what is going to happen here… one of the reasons I want to wait to buy…

People still pre ordering, makes me laugh.
They state these problems were without the 1.04 patch but I can confirm with the patch on my base PS4 it crashed the console so hard the game wouldn’t load properly and just the frame rate dropped to 1 frame per 20 seconds.
There's actually some interpersonal dialogue between a transwoman and a woman in Lizzy's after V speaks to Judy when looking for Evelyn. I imagine there is a lot of representation like this in the game if you stop to observe it, just putting that out there. I've seen a bunch of these triggerable sequences happening and it definitely does make the game more immersive, makes those NPCs feel like real people living their lives outside of the critical narrative.

Well obviously they didn’t but out console review copies for a reason. Oh damn I read a review that said the console version of cyberpunk was more buggy at lunch than fallout 76.
What a surprise, 7 year old consoles can’t run a modern day game.
-If a game cant perform well on a platform, it shouldnt be sold on it.
-Death Stranding was developed in less than half the time with less than a tenth of the team size and is one of if not the most visually amazing games of the generation.

It's completely unacceptable they released an unfinished game. At least Anthem was playable.
All the people saying it was meant for next gen are technically right, after all the PS4 WAS next gen when it was first announced
I play on the Xbox one x and I’ve tried to get the series x but I can’t find it anywhere! My biggest concern when I seen all the issues for myself is that it will be to much to fix! It crashed on me 7 times in a few hours! People were shooting me through walls and I couldn’t shoot them back! Very very disappointing

I was never excited for this game tbh.
Playing it on ps4 and crashes every 30 mins or so. Super buggy and glitchy as well.
The game is unplayable
