Last year, Rockstar games revealed that GTA 5 will have a new “enhanced & expanded” re-release of Grand Theft Auto 5. When most were expecting news of GTA 6, Rockstar wanted to make the last bit of money on the current version of GTA. This news didn’t go down well with fans but recently, we have had some new information.
NEW Information About GTA 5 Next Gen Re-Release
GTA V has been one of the most successful games ever, even after 8 years of it being release, it still makes millions in game sells and even more on microtransaction of gta online. Player believed that GTA 5 Online would come to an end with the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 and with all the Grand Theft Auto 6 rumour and leaks but Rockstar want to carry GTA 5 over to the next gen consoles being PS5, Xbox Series 2 and Xbox Series X. The trailers of the next gen release are heavily disliked on Rockstar’s and PlayStations’s YouTube channels.
With the latest release of the GTA Online Update, the Cayo Perico Heist, data miners have found new information about the release and new structs have been added to the script referencing the new “expanded and enhanced” version of GTA 5 which is due to release later this year in 2021. None of this information is 100% confirmed, Rockstar are yet to announce the official date and the features included but this does give us an insight of what to expect.

you can’t just switch or update the engine from a newer game.. they would’ve had to rebuild the game from scratch

In order for them to make GTA 6 work they need to do some tests with GTA 5 on Next Gen, this makes sense for them to do not release a rushed game like Cyberpunk.
Also the more money GTA 5 makes the better budget GTA 6 will have
In GTA Online survivals PS4 and Xbox One versions will crash (At least if you use standard consoles) if you kill 20 enemies too quick the game may crash because it has to load in 20 enemies plus load in all the dying animations too if you kill all enemies quickly with a minigun, the game needs SSD storage so it can load faster, might as well make a new version for the Next Gen consoles since they are here, only problem is when are we going to be able buy one when they are always out of stock.
If stores just let us be on waiting list for Next Gen consoles then problem solved for everyone and no one would be buying consoles at overpriced values!

Hopefully they let you transfer your character again to whatever platform, cause I wanna switch to PC, playing the new Cayo Perico map on console literally drops your frames down to like 15fps. It’s literally unplayable I don’t think I ever want to touch GTA on console again if it’s going to run that badly

So happy it’s coming to XSX. Xbox let’s you upgrade games to it’ll be worth it paying a cheaper price for an upgrade rather than buying the entire game again.

Most likely we will be able to transfer from ps4 to series x, we were able to do that on last gen
You can link characters from PlayStation to Xbox and the other way around,you just have to go onto you’re social club account and link them.
