Cmon neither one of these systems have any staying power. Neither can run previous generation games at 4k 60 without some trickery or some crazy resolution. If u can count the games thats a problem. I know Demon Souls was a remake but also a corridor game as well. There is always some trickery with consoles lately that is why I own a PC now. Money is money and all the money people and mostly myself have spent on consoles u are always wanting. Good luck I remember when consoles were ahead of display tech now they are the least advanced in the consumer tech world. I mean u have headsets that are more expensive than consoles? Im not saying they are worth it but its about advancement. Gaming is a hobby excluding Esports and Until console gamers want to spend more it will always be behind by alot. Everywhere else in life if u want more u pay more 98% of the time. Console gamers myself being one (former) for 28 years want double the power for the same money? It doesnt take as long to expose these new consoles or max out the power because tech is so far more advanced. The console world is about two to three generations behind and will only get worse. I finally figured out that if u want play games at their best its gonna cost. They will make a pro version for both systems because it worked last gen and these systems, like it or not are already showing limitations. People dont like or want to hear that because it will cost more money lol, try going to the car dealership and tell them u want the twin turbo v6 for the same price as the 4 cylinder and see what they say? I think screen rant was referring to the whole talk last year from Tim Sweeney stating that the PS5`s I/O System surpasses even high end PC solutions (@ that time). Now we know there was kind of a agreement between Epic and Sony to deliver the Ps5 some good PR while showing UE5. So no.. it was technically not a lie. Sweeney`s statements had that "its superior to pcs" -vibe in my eyes. Its astonishing that the PS5s hardware (while being so new its still barely available on the market) has already aged so badly in comparison to pc. Zen2 is last gen and the cut down Rdna2 is not even on par with the lowest end rdna 2 card for pc.
They’ll release a PS5 pro next Christmas. What a scam.

I thought Zen 3 was supposed to have infinity Cache not Zen 2 architecture.
Zen 2 is the CPU architecture.
RDNA 2 is GPU architecture

The RDNA infinity cache is not important for consoles since they have unified memory for cpu and gpu. yes other features of RDNA 2 are lacking on PS5 but its said its nothing major to worry about.
Definitely one of the most dumb comments I have ever heard in my life. Xbox Series S acting as a bottleneck? I disagree, because it is not bottlenecking anything. A PC expert like you should know that multiple hardware configurations don't hinder developers. Its like making games which can run on a RTX 3060 and on a RTX 3080. The game will look better and have some better effects on the 3080, but the 3060 is not bottlenecking the game in general.

All Infinity Cache does is increase GPU memory badwidth. The PS5 already has more raw bandwidth than the Xbox. This just means that the two consoles are more closely matched in performance than before. Remember Xbox's slower second type of RAM? That's not going to be a problem anymore because they DO have Infinity Cache.

And then gamepass comes along with the power to make Sony eat slong. I had a PS5 and sold it at face value to my cousin as he wanted one desperately. I’m happy with my S on the gamepass package as it means I won’t buy any games vs the £80 prices on PS5. I’m actually ok paying for Nintendo exclusives though on my switch as you know you’ll get value for money.
