Some games like super lucky tail got a 120 fps boost not 60 fps
That's quite nice. I usually play on the PS but my perspective is changing
Digital Foundry has done a video about this showcasing the differences.
They're using Direct3D to make the games "run faster" without having to adjust the code.
Also if you re-play FarCry on stream, I would 100% watch

This is the kind of stuff that actually does add up over time and actually makes me wanna buy microsoft's offering over sony's this generation easily hand's down… Well that and once Zenimax's short term agreements with sony's come to an end you know all of those zenimax games will only be on xbox and maybe nintendo's system also.

I wish they'd consider adding Enhanced Sync (Fast Sync) for those using 60 Hz screen to take advantage of games that can run at 120 FPS but you don't have a 120 Hz screen (or a screen that can but the HDMI is limited to 60 Hz), it would be great to have a bit less input lag

diablo2 resurrected looks really good actually. They left much of old game alone and updated the graphics and some qol changes like shared stash.
I hope Sonic Unleashed has FPS boost enabled soon

Wish there were games worth owning an Xbox for, but with their Windows cross-platform plan, they're practically begging me to just buy a laptop and I prefer console gaming. I'm poor too, so I can't get both.

It's still a marketing gimmick. If the fps boosting tech is working at a hardware level, then it should work for all titles instead of selected few. Also microsoft is extremely talented at hyping things up, so I doubt if there will be 60 fps support for all blockbuster back compat games.
If they make black ops 1 60fps I Will rebuy it for my series x just to play kino
