  1. Viper main here!! I agree with what this guy said about viper, grabbing her stuff from a distance is something I’ve been saying for a while now. But I also think making her wall a little thicker would be a good idea. Her wall is her primary line-of-sight blocker but it has virtually no threat when you walk through it. When you walk through a smoke, there is a brief moment when you still can’t see but those outside of the smoke can see you. This is why smokes are dangerous. Yet, her wall is so thin that people can walk right through and barely lose vision at all.

  2. I'm a viper main and I swear every game when I pick viper people are instantly toxic. Little do they know I know all the lineups and have semi decent aim.. They turn their opinion around hella quick once I style up some post plant snake bites

  3. I was a Viper main for a VERY long time but stopped recently. I knew every line up there was to know, made many line ups of my own that were faster, more consistent and easier to do than those you find on YT. Literally spent dozens of hours finding and archiving them via screenshots, descriptions etc in case I forget them…. but she is just not as good as the other controllers, and in my opinion, never will be. She can be very strong with one ways, certain line ups etc but the biggest problem, the fact that her line ups are all very situational and too tedious to do ingame remain.
    The other controllers have it way easier to deploy those smokes consistently and most importantly FAST and SAVE. with Viper you need to stand in certain spots to make line ups work. despite that, some places simply cant be smoked by her, bc her smokes dont fall from the sky or travel through the map. on top of that you have the problem that once you put your poison cloud and wall down, they are down. unless you walk up to the poison cloud it simply stays there, the wall cant be picked up at all. if you want to go A, later decide to rotate to B but you used both cloud and wall on A you have nothing to work with once you want to take B site. Omen, the best controller IMO, has replenishing smokes, a flash, can get to elevated places and Viper cant do any of that. her ult is very situational, her snake bite isnt as good as other molotov-like utiliy and yeah… unless they completely rework viper, or make her so OP that all of those disadvantages listed above still make it worth it, I think she will stay at the bottom.

    I have several ideas, make her poison/gas destroy shields, so they dont replenish, increase the dmg/s her abilities do, give her a third snake bite, let her pick up her wall if she's near any portion of it and introduce some grapple hook or something so she can pick up her cloud like cypher picks up his trip wires. I like the idea that you can scale the lenght of the wall, so you dont accidentally wall something off that you dont want… just gives you more to work with imo.

    I just dont see a point playing Viper when I can simply play Omen or Brimstone instead…

  4. make all of her abilities do permanent damage, increase the dps of all skills and add one more molly. make her ult cover the whole site(her ult should also be permanent damage, until 1hp only.) there, i fixed viper. LUL

  5. 0:37 Cause her abilities need you to think things through before using them, she's really tactical, prolly more so than the other agents. Her wall can't be picked back up, you have to think about the amount of toxins you're using, and her snake bite is considerably weak.

Feels bad when you are the only one who knows how to play her or around her… the biggest buff she needs is increased damage on snake bites and batter vision inside her ult, because they have the same vision distance as viper inside her ult witch am repeating myself IS NOT FAIR! and that's why she has such a low pick rate. Like I said feels bad to be the only monkey who plays her nonstop.

I love viper she’s my current main and she’s so fun to play at a non-competitive level but I understand why she struggles at a higher Level or play and when you come against I higher ranked team they find easy ways to counter her or make her become useless so I agree, she definitely needs some buffs but maybe nothing too major as it could tilt her the complete opposite end

  8. As a kinda-Viper main (I know a molly from outside B main in Split to safe plant 🙂 ), I'm really just hoping for accessibility and wall buffs. Somebody said "people are just lazy so they don't play viper" or something which isn't the problem. The problem is she needs way more learning to achieve the same efficiency. She's just not reliable at her job as a controller. It doesn't matter how "good you are" at Viper's mechanics, you will always be able to be more efficient with another agent with the same effort.

    So basically, her accessibility and ability practicality isn't good. I'm NOT saying they're useless, they're just useful too little of times. It's not "powerful in the right hands," it's just "powerful in the right situation." This sounds kinda cool, but for most agents, their core abilities are "powerful in 99% of situations" while for Viper it's only… I dunno, 10% of situations. They're not weak… they're just… impractical at times.

    Some other random buff ideas: curve the wall like pheonix. For many maps, there's always fatal gaps in walls that limit it's usability. Curving even 45 degrees is pretty good. I really like the "bigger decay rectangle" for the wall buff, since the wall can easily backfire if the enemy has phoenix/reyna/breach/any flasher. The biggest buff viper could ever get is being able to take back wall and one-way smokes.

  9. Make her smokes and toxic screen retrievable from anywhere and keep the decay damage for 2 seconds after.

    I really liked her character concept in the beginning and used to play her but stopped playing her, cause people literally don't care about her toxic screens and mollys at all, as they get their health back in no time.
    For this reason, she was really hard to play with so I mained Raze. But I would love to play as Viper, I think she's very skilled but needs a lot of buffing for people to actually start playing as her

    She's sooooooo freaking good in controlling defense sights you guys suck at the game if u think viper is bad. She's a solid A tier according to me, Brimstone, Raze, Jett, Phoenix are beneath her

  11. I unlocked Viper first because I liked her voice. Initially I thought her wall was strong because you can slice a site in half, but it gives away your position leading to kind of forcing your team to rush in. The Smoke is good on defence for holding chokes, but if you aren't good at aiming people can easily push it and kill you (Same goes for the wall, but most of the time I plant and my team protects me). The mollie is garb, but paired with the smoke you can get chip damage off, but that's all it is chip damage, I agree with the 2 second decay after leaving it so you can place it on A main in ascent for examole and the enemy will be hesitant to rush in due to the vulnerability they get. The ult is fun to play around, intil sova sonar darts it. If the arrows melth that'll be pretty cool, but id see that coming anytime soon

  12. her pick rate is low because her utility isn’t easy and straightforward, and thats what i think makes her unique. you have to be very tactical with what you do and it’s overall just too much effort to squeeze out a portion of the impact of other controllers. she really needs her wall to be retractable and and orb easier to pick up. they need to make her molly do more damage or give her 3 (they did it to breach, why can’t they do it with her?) the vulnerability status is practically useless (from her molly) unless they add more time to the status. if they aren’t going to make her orb and wall that mobile, they should make it more punishing to push through. I say make them give vulnerable status (toned down a bit maybe, not as much as the molly). Her ult is fine, i love the changes that they made with allowing teammate to not experience decay. making the ult a big larger would be nice.
