Since FromSoftware released Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls in the space of two years over a decade ago, the Souslike sub-genre has not only been pioneered, it’s also become widely popular.
Every year we get games that take cues from From’s classics in some way or the other- level design, boss battles, difficulty curve, corpse runs, storytelling style, or a combination of some or all of the above. In the coming months and years, we’re going to see even more such games coming out, and here, we’re going to talk about a few of them.

What can I say?
Забавно, тоже запилил подборку на эту тему!)) Прям, актуально смотрю)
I know resident evil village is a survival horror title BUT at least aesthetic wise and structure design reminds me of souls borne games more than most of actual souls borne games of the future.
Currently playing lords of the fallen 1. Ain't my cup of tea so far.
''souls like''…
Eitr's been in development time for several years? No it's been 6 maybe longer. Yeah definitely longer
I can hardly wait for elden ring
Black Myth Wukong looks to be great. But that game is still years from now to be released and most of the footage is mostly focused on hiring more devs. I just hope Tencent or any Chinese gaming giant having ties with the CCP influence the production of the game. We just want to see their mythology, no BS propaganda.
Looking brilliant? We never even seen Elden Ring🤨
Unsubbed.
Did you say "scourge", but actually mean The Surge?
GamingBolt! ⭐️
Souls like? Pay homage to the OG . Ninja gaiden was for experts only not just run behind and stab. It took sheer will and time to complete a ninja gaiden (my opinion)
Soulslike doesn’t mean anything anymore. On top of that most games I’ve tried in the genre weren’t much fun, undoubtedly mostly because I’m not good at them but I also find the design really bland in most cases.
corpse runs weren't first introduced by souls-likes… lots of older games had corpse runs, Diablo 2 as an example.
I don't think that means what you think it does.. Inconceivable. I wish that elder scrolls-like was as popular a genre, these Souls like games are 10 a penny.
When is Eitr will be released??
I dont know what u guys saw in Hollow Knight. I didnt see it.
Can we get a video like this about Puzzle games?
Mobile games get a bad rap because they deserve it. Greedy development company make it worse.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Last Faith, an Italian game, looks like a Souls-like Castlevania.
I fucking gag when i hear souls like ugh 🙄
So, I get my PS5. I get Demons Souls remake for it. Never played a souls game. So uh, are they all that difficult/unforgiving or is this one the only ahole of the bunch? 😂😂😂 The games all look amazing. 😭
apreciated
Bleak faith looks awesome
Black myth looks like a classic hack slash game like dmc and hollow knight its a metroidvania
Where's mortal shell?
Sand is the soul, 2fps? Also, hallow knight "Best game ever created" Really? Cut the video off there.
Lords of the fallen 2 the only game I'm not excited for
Lords of the Fallen is a GREAT Souls-like, if you are a fan of the genre then you owe it to yourself to check it out
Hollow knight is Rubbish
Is that it? Terrible list.
Lords of the Fallen 2 and Black Myth : Wukong are definetly on my radar
Black Myth looks nothing like a Souls type of game. Thank god
Personally it was thanks to Hollow Knight that I could get into the soulslike genre.
Some of these games I never heard of but they look good
Sand is the Soul looks awful.
I really hope some of these games are available on EPIC!!! why, cause fuck steam!!!
I loved Lords of the Fallen, yet rarely see praise for it.
Wow Eitr haven’t hear anything about that in years… I thought it was dead.
It's amazing how many of these game graphically look like something I would have played back in the late 80s to mid-90s LoL 😆
He keeps referring to it as a gorgeous art style, but it looks more old-school retro than anything.
Black myth looks so cool!
What was the game clip right after hollow knight in the intro?
