Story driven rpgs have limited value for me… complete it 2-3 times then what? Wait for dlc? I want more mmos, Games like the division or fallout 76 done right. If they can create something that's like WOW for console that'll be exciting. For the most part story driven games are just interactive books and as a book reader I dont want it I want something only videogames can give me. "The story is incredible" yeah so are the thousands of years of documented stories + essays, i think the people who praise 'strongly story driven' games are nerds with ADHD… if you want an amazing story just read a book. I want more (maybe online) worlds that I can LIVE in and I can change and fuck around with… I dont want to have to remember character names and backstories if I did I'd read a book. They've mastered graphics they've mastered story now master true interactivity and maybe make it so I can do this with friends. These are videogames not interactive books.
Fyi, I wrote this as someone who enjoys reading books.
