  1. A desert update would be cool, but I believe an "end" update would be cool.
Let's face it, the end dimension is boring.
1.16 : the Nether got better.
1.17 -> 1.19 : the Overworld was made basically anew.
So an "end" update would be good.

  2. I say scorpions would be a good idea but make them the size of silverfish and they spawn and chase you a short distance if you walk over or near their spawn block. Maybe have them have the same poison effect that bees do

  3. Azalea wood should have had the green / lime hint to it
Maybe a mix of oak and a bit of green
Since it generates over lush caves and the lush caves have moss
Maybe the moss mixed with the wood now its green

  4. Personally, I think an end update is coming next, End Wilds, Purpur Wood, End Citadels, The Endersent, so on and so forth. Basically the Echoing Void DLC from Minecraft Dungeons coming to normal Minecraft.

  5. with scorpions I would probably make them work like cave spiders. But the poison is lethal and probably make scorpions more rare either as a spawner mob in the dessert temple or possibly replace spider spawns in desserts with scorpions could even have them in varying sizes and health.

  6. Quick sand: Absolutely
    Oasis: absolutely
    Palm trees: definitely
    Sandstorms instead of thunderstorms: YES
Snakes: yes, replace the TNT in the desert temple
Players should also take heat exhaustion damage if you're in the desert too long

  7. For the quicksand that could be a cool indicator for a aquifer underground ๐Ÿ˜€ since quicksand only forms in the presence of excess amounts of water (unless it's dry quicksand but dry quicksand has never officially been proven to be real in the wild, only in artificial instances)

  8. Some of the things you listed sound great but I would also note that 'if' they were going for more realism a coconut tree would not survive the drought ridden world of a desert .. they are a tropical plant and although they can survive in sandy soil they still need much more water than even an oasis might afford them. However a date palm tree is a much more fitting choice and still has more of the shape and textures of the palm trees everyone seems to be interested in. I do enjoy all the brainstorming going on though so keep up the good work and maybe something good will come to fruition.

  9. One thing to add to the dessert update is like, wearing armor in the dessert would make you overheat, so you would need to bring water bottles to cool down (and im not saying to add another bar with the health bar and food bar)

  10. If they add sand storms, it would be awesome, and they could make you craft a special clothing or something, to protect you from storm damage, the possibilities are endless

  11. I don't think a desert update would be something I love. Even with all of this, I wouldn't bother going to the desert, making it a waste of an update. What they have to do is make an end update as big as the nether udpate. If 1.20 is a desert update, I would consider it a small update compared to 1.16, and 1.19. If they make a desert update, I want them to add as much as they added in 1.16.
