  1. My friend told me he found the deadman's dagger you use to perforate lady d's waistline, somewhere in Moreau's area. He couldn't remember exactly where "whole middle section of that games a blur, bud" to which I would like to add feckin' natural critical path b-line play styles are the worst. Rant over, my friend didn't think it was a big deal and said it was a non equipible treasure so he sold it to the Duke for a lot of lei. I have played the game two and a half times through and can not for the life of me find the damn thing. Does anybody know where exactly you find it? is it a timed thing, does it disappear after a certain amount of time? I was a few hours behind my friend on my first two runs and I spent ages looking for it on a casual run this morning. I know a bit of extra lei at this point is not a big deal but please help, my inner completionist is losing his fragile grasp on reality.

  2. The "NO mushrooms" thing made me wonder whether it was a hint that Rose was part-moulded & thus eating mushrooms would be somewhat cannibalistic. I'm not sure though; I've not seen further than Aoife's playthrough to this point.

  3. Fun Fact: Village references RE6 at least twice. The Baker Incident Report references their operation in China and Europe. In RE6 you need to ring 5 bells in the cathedral, while in Village you need to ring 5 bells in the castle. Not sure if the way Ethan pushes away Chris in the ending can be counted as a reference to Piers's sacrifice though.

So yes, Capcom most definitely aren't ashamed of RE6 if they continue referencing it after each game.

  4. Dunno if they count as Easter eggs per se, but some of the names are references to stuff.

Dimitrescu comes from Demeter, a Greek goddess known for being overprotective of her daughter (Persephone) for example.

Moreau is a reference to The Isle of Dr. Moreau, where a mentally ill man experiments on humans and beasts in order to create a hybrid army.

Donna Beneviento I'm less sure about, but Donna means "lady" in Italian and Beneviento might mean "good going", perhaps, so her name might translate to "Lady Bon Voyage" or "Lady Good Trip", which… she sends you on a very bad drug trip. Romanian isn't my forte.

Romanian as a whole is one of the Latin-derived Romance languages, so I'm not 100% sure the names translate quite like I think they do, though.

Oh, and Heisenberg is probably a reference to the physicist of the same name (famous for his Uncertainty Principle of quantum mechanics), rather than Breaking Bad. Probably.

  5. You guys missed one of the earlier Easter Eggs in Ethan's study: One of the two books (one being the Kendo Weapon reference) on his shelves talks about historic buildings designed by George Trevor. George Trevor designed the Spencer Mansion. So, there is a lot of callbacks that make Village a true Umbrella origin story for the whole series.

  6. I see alot of ppl commenting that the game is "too short"…..??? For the main entry numbered series 1-8, this falls in the middle. Its average for an RE game

Longer than Re3 remake. and technically longer than Re2 remake considering you only get at most an hour of new campaign content when you play the other character on the run

  7. I'd like to point out as well that Duke references the RE4 merchants line " What are you buying?…" by saying that its his friends line. Hopefully we get to see the merchant in future games.
