The biggest improvements and features we want to see come to the next-generation consoles in 2021.

2021 will be the first full year of the newest generation of consoles as more people get their hands on PS5s and Xbox Series X/S, and more games start to come out. Both had solid launches, despite issues of supply shortage, but there’s a lot more we want to see out of these systems.

In this video, Jean-Luc Seipke breaks down our wish list of tweaks and improvements for these systems. From simple requests like more controller colors to larger, more ambitious demands, like PS3 games made backwards compatible on the PS5, there are a ton of things we’d like to see.

Let us know what you’d like to see from the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 in 2021! If you’re excited for more new generation games, why not check out our videos detailing the hottest games coming out this year. We got ones for both Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5.

  1. Last week i found a series S at a Best Buy 200 miles away… before I could put in my card info in it was already gone. I was already getting my stuff ready for a road trip.

  2. 360 had themes the whole Xbox One UI should’ve been eliminated. You can’t customize the size of the tiles on the Ui, and why do we still have ads?

I continuously click “see less” on Gamepass ads and still see them 🙄 The Ui is also too quiet. I don’t just want themes. I’d like game specific themes with music.

PlayStation has the better UI but I miss themes not being available. I also wish pressing the PlayStation button asked me if I wanted to turn the system off.

Agreed we need more patches for Ps4 games but devs need to add resolution patches. Arkham Knight, AC Syndicate, Unity, Black Flag, Mirrors Edge Catalyst, Ryse son of Rome all have auto HDR but still 900p or even 720p resolution 😢

  3. Xbox series X has done a better job with next gen features so far over PS5. The quick resume function is a game changer and the super supported and even enhanced backwards compatibility mode is a lifesaver right now because both consoles don’t really have any next gen games yet

  4. Checking trophies on ps5: hold the ps button, don’t tap, go down from game and press right. It’s actually kinda fast. I’ve never done it the way shown in video.
