  1. I really do get what you're saying… BUT I honestly don't see them opting out of the cross-gen tactic anytime soon. Admittedly you're right to a point, game-development will eventually be focused upon the newer generation as we go on, because overtime everyone will eventually gravitate towards the new line of consoles, however focusing on a game so soon (Sonic or otherwise) so early when people struggle to afford let alone acquire the console necessary to play it is just too much of a risk in my opinion.

  2. really hope this comes for ps4 as well. Don't wanna buy a new console just for one game, specially for a sonic game with it's reputation. And this comming from a loyal fan who actually enjoyed Forces to some bits (but acknowledge the huge problems it has)

  3. The thing is man Sega knows that not everyone is going to move to next-gen so they're not going to do that even later where a lot of people are next-gen they're still not going to do that because of the people who aren't or at least that's what I think

  4. I dont think Optimization will really be an issue atleast for Modern Sonic Team because Forces was optimized pretty well for Switch and 8th Gen and PC

I may be bias cause I am gonna buy a PS5 when i dont have to like manhunt it down (hoping like by March) but I do wanna see some next gen perks or something. It dosent have to like be the most beautiful looking game for the system but stuff like haptic feedback on PS5 version or 1080 120 fps vs 4k 60 fps mabey even a RT mode but prob not. The game would be built for Switch though but I want the game to graphically push that console maybee it could be the next BOTW graphic wise (And PS4 + XB1 versions would run at 4k or 1080 60)

However I do think Sonic Team needs to go back to the surreal art style from Gens Unleashed and even Colors. Ever since LW theyve had this boring plain ass semi blocky style which carried over into Forces. Idk much about like game engines or anything or how the HE engine(s) work but I hope we get better textures (that are optimized for 4k)

  5. It would be smart to have it be cross-gen, but the people who run SEGA are idiots who make bad decisions, so idk what's gonna happen. I just wish that SEGA and Sonic Team would just make games so good that people with out-dated consoles would want to get the next-gen consoles just to play the newest games., like they did in the 90s.

  6. Sega needs their own console for exclusives! Sonic is just as big of an IP as Mario. Sonic will sell consoles. People think it's weird when Sega didn't launch the Saturn with Sonic. Look what happened then.

  7. 7:45 "Spider-Man: Miles Morales" thats Peter Parker on Spider-man PS4/PS5 (remastered) lol but nice video tho, I just hope there will be a mobile port and not make it an endless runner since I don't have a console.

And the fact that I'm tired of Sonic games with the endless runner type on mobile.

  8. That's not happening.
Sonic's biggest audience right now is on Switch so there's no way they would just dump that console away, hell, even Forces as shitty as it turned out was the same game in all platforms, plus what Sonic needs right now is good stuff, not mindblowing graphics, they should focus on at least having a consistently good gameplay and actual level design, and once they can get their shit together, sure, make the most astonishing looking game in the series.
