5 Problems Modern Video Game Consoles All Have

Today we will be taking a look at problems and issues all modern video game consoles seem to share. You would think that these issues would be relatively easy fixes and that gaming would have evolved past these, however, every new generation has its own problems. #xbox #playstation #nintendo

  1. Well I mean 1 problem is that some people just don’t optimize their games for size because cod Cold War is like 200 gigabytes on the ps5 and I hate it.
Also yeah that 1st one too. I think that having to pay for online is still stupid, I still think ps+ and Xbox live should still exist but it’s like 10 bucks a week for 5 or so games a month.
Also OH MY GOD JAY HAS STARTED USING FORTNITE FOOTAGE THIS IS SO EPIC, I CAN FINALLY DIE HAPPY
Also yeah the limited backwards compatibility sucks specifically on the ps5 because I really wanna play black ops 1 and 2 but my pc is a potato and I don’t know if they’re on the Xbox store so that sucks. They really should have backwards compatibility back to at least the ps2
Yeah that’s really really really stupid. Xbox is a lot better imo because I could buy dark souls 2 on my account and reinstall it on my dads account, but the whole ps5 thing is honestly quite disgusting. At least they don’t lock dlcs to accounts, right guys?
Speaking of PCs, apparently there’s a dark souls 3 hack where someone can invade you, corrupt your save file, and destroy your computer by overloading your graphics card or something
Ngl man I hate that joke. I think the ps5 looks kind of cool but yeah, current/next gen consoles are so bloated. It’s a pretty big problem. I mean I like the ps5, I like most things about it, but it really is way too large. And also why is the series x just a large rectangle?
Exactly. It’s really disgusting that the ps5 came with less than a terabyte on it. Idk about the series x but honestly that’s quite disgusting. I see Xbox less likely to do something like that though, they seem a lot more interactive-y with their fans. I mean they probably still do it, but idk. I did the same thing but with a 3 terabyte hard drive, and it’s working pretty good, especially considering I don’t have very many games. And yeah, you have to put your ps5 game on the console’s drive. My dad told me that that’s because Sony havent revealed the drive in it, which yeah seems in character for playstation

  2. Xbox's backwards compatibility is emulating the original console, not just essentially having the original console inside the new console like the PS2 or Wii. This means that the games can run in higher resolutions instead of just being the original resolutions, and is far more cost effective – the PS3 had to remove PS2 compatibility to reduce production costs. They can't just make every game compatible because most would glitch horribly or not even run, they have to make sure the games run properly – just look at CXBX Reloaded's compatibility, most games don't work perfectly, whereas Xbox's emulator 99.9% of games run without issue. I'd much rather have something like this where games look nicer and run better, at the cost of having less of them rather than how the 360 did it where most games had something wrong with them and didn't look very good

  3. Gaming in terms of graphics have peaked to me and I think we're reaching the ceiling. I notice people are beginning to realize that pretty graphics don't make a fun game. You can have the best looking game ever, but if everything else is shit, you just have a good looking piece of shit video game.

  4. The one giant advantage modern day consoles have over PC’s is that you buy it once it lasts 10 years until a new one comes. PC’s there graphics cards unfortunately get outdated. But then again you can go all out in your first PC so it lasts so super long.

  5. I think one of the biggest problems with modern consoles is availability. Can't get angry about next gen gaming, when i can't buy a new PS5/XBOX series X. GD scalpers!

  6. For me it’s backwards compatibility and digital bullshit, I shit talked someone on PS4 and got banned, I didn’t have a problem owning up to the consequences until I saw that if the psn account you got the game on is banned, the digital game is locked

  7. I wish I had the money for a high end PC so I could finally say goodbye to these redundant modern consoles.

I love some MP games like Halo and Battlefield but I dispose DRM. There are two sides to every coin and the internet is no different.

  8. I agree with most but #2 I have a other one that I wish this generation games when you buy the actual disk of it that now it has too download it on your counsels and it takes so long if you get the newest games it takes a lot longer for them to download
