  1. is there a way to make a free server that you don't have to keep Minecraft open on a computer to keep the server running? I play on servers that my friends made but they have to leave their computer on with the server open to let us play.

  3. 1:04 You can also download the server jar directly from the Minecraft launcher.
Installations -> three dots to the right of the version you want (vanilla only) -> Edit -> SERVER.

  4. In aternos, you can simply use a bot script which keeps logging in and out of server with random name, this keeps the server on 24/7 lol.

Also if you're an advanced user, use oracle free tier. It has 4 cores and 24gb ram free forever, and can easily handle 200 players πŸ˜‰
