  1. Ugh, Black Desert… consider my PTSD activated.

    PS: Cyberpunk was cooking for 9 years? Last time it was 8 time before that 7….
    The reality, from what I've heard from people that actually understand some of how the development went, it was actually in the oven for around 4 years. Obviously some concept work and that CG tease are older than that.
    9 years… lol.

  2. Jeez, open world games are the worst.
    You spend most of your time stumbling upon side quests which may be fun at the beginning but become extremely repetitive and boring after a few hours. Plus, in modern open world games, depending on where you go you mess up the order of events so you no longer have linear and meaningful stories.
    The old open world were fun because you had extras that you could do, but storywise you had one thing to follow. Now it's a mess.

    MGSV sounded super fun when came out but after playing it for more than a few hours I started to get annoyed and in the long run I just lost interest in the game… And it was supposed to be a freaking MGS game!
    Other examples I can think of are 'Lost Days' or 'Ghost of Tsushima' where if you watch different gameplays, they're all different, and it's not a good thing when you expect a story to be followed clearly.

  3. I think Season passes should be on this list, I remember a time when you purchased a game and you got the entire game when you purchased it, you didn't get it in "episodes". mybe cuz it's not new it isn't here.

  4. Cyberpunk does have a lot of filler side quests, but it also has some of the best side quests in any game I've ever played. It's a mix of like 20/20/60 great/good/bad.

  5. How does adding paid skins to game like Doom make it worse? Don't buy the skins, and just pretend like they never existed. It doesn't take away anything from what you have. The game is still the same after it came out.

When I played a fortnite battle pass for the first time I was actually doing pretty well and unlocked a lot of stuff when it ended though I expected to get everything I’d unlocked but it turned out I could only access some of the items and I could only get the rest if I had bought that battle pass

  7. I feel like the whole concept of early access is dumb and should stop. Like games rely on it WAY too much. For example, project zomboid came out in 2013 and is STILL in early access. That’s 8 YEARS of being in early access. So when people complain about bugs or problems the creators can just say oh well it’s in early access so expect that. Like no, imagine if cyberpunk came out in with the early access label stuck on it. The only reason it didn’t is because triple A games haven’t started to do that yet, but it’s getting close I remember when Ark was in early access for like 3 years. I just feel like if you need funding for a game or something do it the Kickstarter way, I don’t want to pay for a game and that game isn’t actually a complete game for 8 years.

  8. Tbh id rather do away with battle passes and get loot boxes back. I miss when you actually got to earn crates after winning a game or completing a challenge. Now its just if you buy this pass and you get all this free stuff through playing the game which yeah is cool but there are a bunch of game you can't even earn them through playing you have to pay. Its annoying, I already spent 60 or so dollars and now you want $10 or more so I can get a few skins that in older game I could earn for free? No thank you.

  9. Which can really piss me off when I don't get what I expect. I pre-ordered RE3 Remake, for the Classic Jill costume. And she wears short, not miniskirt. But luckily modders fixed it on PC. 😀

  10. Personally I will never understand how I’m the world you work on a game for 9 whole years and it’s still crap, they hyped it up like it’s the game of the decade when it took almost a whole decade to make a bottom of the barrel game with good graphics

Online multiplayer only games piss me right off along with console specific titles that have never made any sense from a marketing sales point of view, I play games to get away from people so I like single player games but there are games out there that I'd like to play but it means teaming up with people I have nothing in common with so fuck that.
    I've never understood the economical sense of limiting your profits to one particular platform & seems like a dumbass move to me, I nearly forgot this last one although it's not necessarily new & that is fucking xbox controls in PC games with the stupid camera view seperate to the movement – who the fuck decided that should become the norm….wankers!

  12. Great video! I will say though, having played Cyberpunk on a decent pc at launch, I find the criticism of that game to be extremely overblown. In fact everyone I know who has played it on a decent PC had very few issues. My first play through of Skyrim, like a year after launch, had more bugs than CP. I also never pay much attention to hype, or promises made before release, so I went into CP without many expectations, which may have helped.

  13. I think Nier:Automota does a really good job at giving you story content over side content, I've been playing it for several hours at a time the past four days and I'm still not done but very invested in the story.

  14. Building off the last trend you mentioned, I think there's one trend maybe not outright suckish but it's still kind of annoying when you look at them overall. Games that release in dismal/less-than-ideal states but eventually turn around and become a superior product. Most recent examples I can think of are No Man's Sky and Battlefront II. While these end up producing the product that fans would want, there's the issue that publishers and developers can basically just release a junkish game or a game loaded with microtransactions and then turn around and just undo it all to get good flavors and maybe even try it for the next game. Before some of CD Projekt team basically jumped ship, I was expecting them to do exactly this with Cyberpunk.
