Last night CD Projekt released a statement regarding a ransomware attack where the attackers had threatened CDPR with the release of Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, and Gwent Source Code as well as a large amount of internal documents.

When the virus is good, it can be hard to find a clean, UNINFECTED backup.
Sometimes it ends up being a pretty old backup and it's all very far from a small inconvenience… and quite often there are no backups old enough…
SidAlpha video, yayy!
Sorry to hear about IRL challenges, good to know you've prioritized it!
Best wishes for a smooth ride onwards, keep up the good work!
Thank you for the detailed walkthrough of CDPR's issues, that's why I'm subbed to you!
Videos may be few and far between but they show dedication and knowledge with the ability to explain in simpler terms what's the issue.
Stay safe and have fun!
Unfortunately this type of software is easily obtainable by n00bs that want to pwn someone. Props on CDPR for standing their ground.
Market stunt
I worked at a cable company where everyone in the company except the system admin wasn't allows to get emails with attachment or visit gaming sites, like steam, the system admin opened an email with the "I love you" virus attached and infected the whole company due to he has full excess rights to everything. they spent years reminding him what a complete idiot he was. computer system was broken for a week.
the assumed Witcher 3 code stolen is the code ports for ps5 and the xbox version of next gen consoles.
Hope they take the journalists that receive these documents to publish to court also, handling stolen goods is almost as bad as stealing it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 good gooooooooooood
These hackers are going to jail, along with whoever brought the items cause they would be in procession of documents that they didn’t make or had a hand in making and let’s face it it does become a federal crime
You do you, Sid… We'll be here when you get back. Take whatever time you need.
This is obviously illegal and I hope that the one responsible are caught regardless of what people think of CDPR because they have likely done this to other people that would suffer more from this. Also even if the unknown blackmailer release the data we can never truly know if it is the truth, a lie, or altered with a mix of both to cause maximum damage. It's data; it can be changed; it can be modified just like money its just a number. The real victims will will be the people working at the bottom
Dude seriously, I haven't seen one of your videos pop up for me in almost a year and a half. Before seeing this, I thought your channel died. I don't even get notifications anymore.
last of us 2 leak
and now cyberpunk got hacked
Lmao pwned
last nail to their coffin, im happy.
YouTube didn’t update me on your most recent updates. The bell is fucking active though.
So we have a Media here reporting on a Netrunner hacking a Corporation…
Welcome to Cyberpunk 2021.
Sadly i heard from Tipster that it was sold for 7M on the dark web and CDPR will not pay criminals
Is it just a coincidence that CDPR is now looking for a security director? Applying.
Lol joking. But welcome back Sid
Don't worry, I'm like a week late on watching my subscription videos too, so no harm done. I'd rather have once a month quality content from this channel, than daily bad content.
Great video, and as good an explanation of the relevant IT topics as I've ever heard. Well done, Sid!
