I heard so little about this game I forgot it exists. To be fair sakura wars is a old but niche ip and that doesn't help neither with mobile games.
I didnt even know that this game came out
* Hear the name Hideo Baba * Well, no need to look any further to guess the cause of this shipwreck.
(As a former fan of the Tales of franchise, for me the last good opus is Vesperia… Now I'm waiting to see what Arise has in store for us)
Man, they should give more attention to FGO NA Version than this game… Old quality of life as old animations, old menu, even the widescreen isn't there;
Weren't you shilling this game how come you never uploaded about it
JP doesn't seem to understand that taking your beloved strategy or tactical franchises and then making them more action oriented doesn't seem to help and it's not what gamers want.
I was one of the people that knew this game through Marine and fubuki, they were collabing and playing in just one channel, but the game didn't really appeal to me, with old fans of the franchise not liking so much too, it sadly flopped
Damn that was quick
That didn't last long. Isn't this game like less than a year old?
I didn't realize Baba was so disliked by the JP Tales community. Though I can't say Im surprised because Zesteria is, imo, one of the worst entries in the series.
Maybe they’ll finally stop wasting their money and actually make good fgo content
Is there a website that has some of the game assets and art? I'm glad I hesitated to play but now I want to see what I missed 😭
Expected something like this as soon as I've read about what's the gacha about+who's apparently the director (Baba, a very ill-famed little shit), but 6 months WOW it was epic I'd say even a record! Sincerely feel pity towards Sakura Taisen, but Sega really was always shit at managing its own brands especially the smaller ones.
Wait, the New Sakura Wars game was an action game and not a Strategy/Tactics RPG? (didn't pay too much attention since i wasn't going to get a PS4 for just 1 game)
why did they do that? with how many people loved FE3H it isn't like the genre is dead or anything like that, should have just pointed a SW revival game at that audience and tell them it's a strategy game with an even bigger emphasis on your waifu relationships and it should have printed money, then after that you could think of doing mobile and action game spin-offs.
Shin Sakura Taisen wasn't THAT bad, at least my brother enjoyed it.
They need to make quality of life updates if it wasn't fgo this game would fail miserably the grinding system takes too long in my opinion to farm embers think there should be a way to farm materials 20 materials just isnt enough and running out of apples and ap becomes a problem honestly I don't see anything changing unless fgo falls off but a chat would be nice and a better way to bind data with email and password
SEGA should do more research on who to invest with. FGO is not being carried by DW but rather it's the opposite, this disaster just proves that the way DW handles things ain't gonna work these days without something akin to Fate's massive IP to carry it and things ain't gonna change for their future games if they do not learn from their mistakes.
Baba should just be purge simple as that. 🤷♂️
And this is what Atlus & P5 get for saving Sega sorry ass? I should have know Sakura mobile games was kind of mistakes you just can’t beat FGO. I just wish they should have continue focusing more on the triple A game for Sakura war and focus on making a switch instead which would have sell really well. Better yet they could have make Sakura war x Devil survivors crossover games and would make the fans hype as hell.
It's a shame it failed, I actually liked the potential idea of replacing mechas with exosuits.
The ps4 sakura game was alright, nothing ground breaking but I really enjoyed it. I really hope Fgo doesn't go down the same rabbit hole, events can be a big grind Fest tho (they should add a skip ticket, like you get a skip ticket for every 5 runs of a nod, they would carry over to the next event but you would still have to beat the nod first tho. They could also add that to the daily. Just my opinion cause I work a lot an never have time lol.)
Similar instant happened to Zenonzard. I got to the anime first by youtube algorithm and not the game. Now I really want to revive that game cuz the game and the anime have so much potentials.
While I believe DW has it's fault, it's clear the situation wasn't just DW being bad at game design… everything around this game was rotten.
I hope this doesn't kill Sakura Wars again, it could be sad to see the franchise return to the fridge for other 15 years despite how much interest there is for Sakura Wars stuff.
I like the idea of Power Armor concept in the game but still, the reason I love the franchise because of its world building and the steampunk + magic mechs.
Your audio is terrible, it is too low
If there's only one way to salvage Sakura Taisen, they should expand the franchise in a scale close to Fate. Combining Hideo Baba in anything actually makes him a walking disaster in video games, and if there's one thing he should do to redeem himself, he should work on an entire video game all on his lonesome if he doesn't care about teamwork. But Sakura Taisen might be hard to salvage after making a mediocre console game and Kakumei being a complete failure.
Though if there's one way to salvage the unfinished story of Kakumei, they should try and finish the story's script and move the story into a different medium as something not a video game. A full anime series or movie would have worked.
