CK2, CK3. Long live the Folcwalding Clan. In CK3 i already have 2000 of them and counting.
Growing up it was probably Ultima and Wizardry gaining the most gameplay. Then I moved to Doom and Civ. I've stuck with the Civ series and have logged many hours on V and VI. For casual and quick play, I do enjoy Slay the Spire.
I remember my best friend and I would play Civ 1 on my dad's 8086 computer, with no sound card. I decided there seemed to be a lot going on that we were missing and bought a sound card "for Dad". The first time a nuke went off, the sound was glorious! We also discovered a bug or maybe it was a programming limitation at the time. We moved a carrier close to our usual nemesis, the Mongols, and were going to nuke their capital. The missile had a range of 15, so we sat a ways away and targeted their capital. We hit launch…….. and the missile starts flying in the opposite direction!! Evidently, best that we can figure, the world map was a wraparound with a seam in it that the missile couldn't detect the pathing in that direction, we evidently parked with the seam between our carrier and the Mongol capital, so it was taking the shortest route, which was around the world. Luckily, our country wasn't sitting directly behind us!
Oh boy, I can't wait for Leviathan to come out. Have delayed almost every EU IV-Campaign in SE-Asia because of this for months now. I've also very much enjoyed Vicky 2, EU III and the HOI-series before HOI IV started to become a lot different than its predecessors with each and every DLC. Fortunately, I can't pinpoint anymore how many thousands of hours I've spent CIV III, IV and V and PCM (starting in 2006 with a massive database that foreshadowed the emergence of riders such as SKA many many years later). Fortunately because it was definitely too much, looking back.
Another bunch of favourite games (in no particular order) would be: CS:GO, War Thunder, the FM-Series (I don't even dare counting the hours, apparently I've spent more than 990 hours playing the 2014-version already), the older Total War games, Falliout: New Vegas, Mass Effect and so on. I guess one can tell that I pretty much enjoy gaming in my spare time. Pretty much enjoyed playing Battle Brothers, Panzer Corps and Xenonauts lately!
