I hate being forced to stand around and watch a scenario play out when I am in that scene and could have prevented what happened if the game just allowed me to act. No way that clown should have been allowed to get that shot off that killed the merchant with a playable character easily capable of stopping him right there. It's just bad writing, and happens way too often in gaming.
