  1. i agree with that, in its state it shouldnt be released yet, but these expectations were way too high too… on the other hand they fucked up with stuff that isnt there too, (ubisoft vibe) mantis blades be able to cut into wall and then jump on someone, hacking others and so on, but music is best i heard so far and story worth very much too, sadly that wont make it for bugs that are still in game. I would like to know how that game looked before their delay coz bugs… was it even playable?

  2. I guess work crunching just took a toll on these developers that made this game happen. Even though I love gameplay aesthetics, but it's nowhere as organically as what Rockstar has done with RDR2 in terms of resonance. At least, we got the Blade Runner game we've got to play though and hopefully all of these problems will go away around next year so I could revisit night city at a different perspective.

  3. If I get this right it sounds as if a two-dimensional point and click game – with well-drawn characters but little realistic interaction – has suddenly morphed into a 3D eye-popping version of itself and is painfully aware that it belongs in 2D.

  4. A real shame it turned out like this.
I guess I'll start hoping for DA 4 and ME 5 to bring a great rpg experience, but Bioware isn't at its best atm to say the least…
There's also Starfield and TES VI but they feel pretty distant and we basically know nothing of these four games 😄

  5. Damn. And here I was expecting it to feel as alive, realistic and immersive as RDR2, with a ton more customization and personalization to boot. I'm gonna have to pass on this one. What a shame.

  6. I didn't pay much attention to the game until the day of release so I kind of expected a "witcher" type of game where you can really just get lost and waste hundreds of hours doing all kinds of nonsense.

What I got was a mediocre borderlands. Great main story but the side quests tend to tell you the final conclusion instead of showing them to you which is a damn shame. Side characters you thought important somehow do not play any role in the later acts and characters you thought forgettable suddenly become important.

I had actually killed off a character as part of a sidequest who then later showed up in the main quest alive and happy?? Excuse me what??

  7. The customization isnt as varied or fun as something like Saints Row, which is an absolute fucking crime for how long this game has been in the developmental womb.

Also as much as I'm not the biggest fan of the original Deus Ex's combat, they missed a huge opportunity to let you level up your proficiency and augment yourself like that game did, and that was almost 20 years ago

I expected this game to not live up to the hype- hell, I knew it wouldnt. But I didnt expect such a huge cluster of technical fuckery and a leveling system rivaling Skyrim in terms of shallowness

  8. The game was disastrously overhyped, marketed as "be all end all" game that can potentially end world hunger.

Do I enjoy the game? Yes. Is it lackluster? Yes. It's no 10/10 game, more like 6 – 7/10 game with 8 – 9/10 story that keeps you invested.
I only dig the atmosphere. While gameplay is quite fun, it is not that fun and I can recall things with more fun factor than CP2077.

This is one of the few games that I buy for the story (with some side dish of action). The character customization, especially after the character creation, is extremely lackluster.

So many reviewers had deemed it's AI lifeless. I agree with that, and brainless too. I need to focus on the Night City aesthetics just to make myself distracted on how lifeless AIs and character outside of the scripted cutscenes. Luckily, I always thought little of how "good" can the AI be. It's embarrassingly bad… The city was lifeless because the promise to "breathe life to every denizen of Night City" on the promotional was not fulfilled. I never believed that promo, and as such, I was less dissatisfied during my gameplay.

That being said, there is still a little bit of hope for this game. But it is not easy nor doable in short time. People would be rioting and be enraged if the promised features cut from the game were offered back as DLC. Should've delayed the game for another 3 – 5 years if they want that kind of the polish with all that Earth-shattering features.

Not even Peter Molyneux would mislead gamers like this. Still… I don't really feel so irked with the CP2077 shortcomings because I was relatively unaffected by the hype. I just think to myself that I expect a 7/10 game and got a little bit better than what I wanted but not by much. In comparison, I was genuinely taken aback with how optimized and fun GTA V back in the day; it was still a golden standard up to this day.

For this particular event in my life, I want to wear rose-tinted glasses and say that it will be fixed for the consoles first and then added to the PC version later. I don't really mind if they witholding the content; they will need time to unfuck this clusterfuck of broken game and promises. Especially for the console players. They need to know what got em up here from The Witcher series won't make them stay up there with CP2077.

    Always remember: no preorders.

  9. All valid points and yet somehow I'm still loving my time in the game. Not as much as I did The Witcher 3 or even 2 but theres just something really cool about it. I really hope they create another game in this universe because if they just improve on this it really could be the game of the generation.
