Album: Republica by Republica, movie: Fargo (though I didn't fully appreciate how good it was until later) and game: Destruction Derby 2
These are the best videos! Also, fuck all the woke ass people. Haha. Cheers!
Album:
Type O Negative – October Rust
Game:
Crash Bandicoot
Movie:
From Dusk Till Dawn
Album: Gin Blossoms; Congratulations I'm sorry. It had Follow you down, As long as it matters and Till I hear it from you.
Movie: Bio Dome (I was like "free mahi mahi") I don't know how many times my friends and I watched this movie which is surprising because I was 9 when it came out. Where were our parents?
Game: Wave Race 64. The water physics/graphics blew my freaking 1996 mind!
It's weird that you guys liked the movie Twister. I cannot describe how much we all hated this movie when it came out. I wonder if it's because you lived in a tornado-prone area? Anyway, great video and keep 'em coming!
Definitely down for some more music content! I'm an avid CD collector always for music
My brother and I played TF out of Mario Kart 64. It was the first game bought when we got our N64. Between Mario Kart, Golden Eye, and WCW, we wore out all of our N64 controllers. Those were great times!
Loved going down Memory Lane… My favorite year of media content was 2002
I was -3 in 1996
NiGHTS into Dreams came out in '96. 🙂
PC culture destroyed comedies. I've been saying it for a while. It's terrible. You hardly ever see comedies coming out at all anymore……
Damn 1996 great year I was six definitely my favorite games at that time was Mario Kart 64! music I still love Nirvana 2pac favorite movie1996 Mars attacks eh what a classic cheers 👍
I’ve been dying for you guys to do a side project about your music taste. An interesting topic for a video could be “Songs that only appeared on movie soundtracks”. I believe the only time the Foo Fighters song A320 appeared was on the Godzilla movie soundtrack.
Robert's mom….LOL it is fun hearing Robert talk about a time period that he could not yet talk in. Great video guys!
Very cool look back on a fantastic year. There has been a video spin of this idea going around called the Golden Year community challenge. Lots of gaming channels have been picking their year’s favorite album, movie and game. Cool to see you guys do this too. 🍻
Bums me out Alice in Chains didn't have too much going on in '96 specifically because they're my all time favorite grunge band hands down, Mad Season was rippin shit up in '96 though I believe
Album:backstreet by backstreet boys movie:indapendance day under rated movie:the phantom video game:resident evil. Honerable mention:super mario 64
I loved MK64. Spent countless hours playing with my brother, brother in law & one of his friends. I can’t tell you how many times a session of MK64 nearly erupted into a full on brawl because of Wario Stadium.
Hey guys just subscribed got to say 96, and 97 or two of the best years ever. Free movies and games. Keep up the great work and keep the great content rolling.
Alice In Chains – Unplugged
RATM – Evil Empire
Sublime (self-titled)
Tool- AEnima
Quality content
oh man! fugees the score! So good! From what I heard Lauryn Hill hates white people haha. Unfortunately.
The first Resident Evil came out in 96, RE3 was 99.
Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaable guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy! hahahahaha
When I was 6 years old playing shadows of the empire with my dad. That was my introduction to hardcore gaming.
Great stuff keep it up guys.
Love the outro the good old days before cell phones and hi speed internet, the perpetually offended. Time to get real again people.
To me, 1996 is Prodigy's Firestarter, Metallica's Load, Wes Craven's Scream, Resident Evil, WipEout 2097, Twisted Metal 2 & Super Mario 64
You didn't mention any of the games I remember from 96. Civ 2, Red Alert 2, Duke Nukem, Quake, Wipeout 2097, Tomb Raider. We didn't get the N64 in europe until 97
Can't wait for the Q&A Video
I love the last three Mission Impossible movies, but the first is a (relatively) cerebral and exciting thriller from a master director, the kind of blockbuster we've seen far too little of since.
