If the pretty overpriced box doesn't have any titles I give a fuck about, I'm going to stick with my toaster from 2012 that still runs every new title I do give a fuck about perfectly well. Oh look, console exclusives for Sony and Microsoft have largely been piles of trash since the end of the PS3/360 era, and the pitiful exclusive library that is worth a damn is certainly not worth $500 of a damn.
At least Nintendo's actually a dedicated gaming company rather than an electronics company that got sucked into a point-of-no-return situation with their consoles and an office software/operating system company that can afford to treat its gaming division like a hobby. They'll always have good exclusives because they fucking make the damn things themselves.
