  1. EE, it's really irking me when you're placing mines in bad spots because you refuse to not disable grid snapping for them (hold Shift when trying to place them or rotating).

  2. FYI: You really aren't intended to produce large amounts of silicon from stone — just enough to complete the research required to leave the planet. Other planets have silicon veins where you can harvest silicon directly, which is far, far more efficient.

  3. The loop for the power generators is cute, but… Is likely counterproductive.

If you just let the graphite accumulate at a dead end of is very, very obvious when consumption exceeds supply, and that's more important than keeping 100% of your power generation running for an extra (say) 2 minutes. In fact, with the simple "dead end" strategy you are more likely to realize that you have a supply problem earlier, because you'll slowly lose power generation over time — with the current strategy you'll either have full power available (all generators running) or no generators running.

It's a clever idea, I'll admit, but it's very, very hard to overload your power grid to the point where lack of energy creates a death cycle. The penalty for under producing power is small enough that you can live with it for quite some time.

  4. I like to think the reason for the world being so small is that EE’s mech is just huge and all his buildings are colossal industrial power houses. This would make the resources nodes mountains full of materials. Biggest flaw is that this “theory” makes the trees just very big trees

  5. Each (lvl1) belt transports 6 items/s. So you can run max 6 smelters (using 1 raw resource/s) off of 1 belt.
    Lvl2 belts handle 12/s, and lvl3 30/s
You can also hit Shift to unlock your miner placement from the grid. And also r, while holding shift, lets you turn it with much more control. This helps covering the mining patches… a lot.

  6. I didn't want to add on to the other comment because I just dont know enough about the game but a solar panel equatorial ring would be a good way to not need power on the planet your on. It's always being powered so it's like a ton of free energy. Up to you love all you do EE started with the og KSP and I've loved everything after that. Sorry I'm too broke for Patreon really wanted a flag XD cant wait to see what you do next

  7. 'Sorters' (the things that grab from belts and place into factories or vice versa) have a fixed speed/block. So their grabbing rate depends on distance. They can move 1 item in 0.75 seconds (so 1.5/s) when its 1 block away. They move 1 item in 1.5 seconds (0.66/s) when its 2 blocks away, and at 3 blocks it's one item every 2.25s.
