  1. My mentality is a bit different in games, but I do agree there are some great benefits to saving despite hard FOMO (which I do feel). Mine is, to rush content, spend fast for the purpose of seeing if currency will eventually run into a screeching hault. There is a possibility that even when you get what you want, you will still get bored because progression gets too slow. So, basically I check to see how it feels when things are "dried up" so I know if this game is worth long term investment. Maybe freebie gems when the main story is dead is manageable?

  2. We gotta give props to the devs for making all character purchasable without any gambling at all. Most if not all gacha games always lock their playable characters behind gacha at ridiculous rate. We don't have to worry to not getting the characters that we like, sure we need to gacha a bit to get decent equipment but the game is not that hard that you are required to have latest meta gears and supporters. My mentality for gacha games usually is like an investor, only spend if those characters OP or worth the asking price. In this game the only thing i need to worry about is saving for millage skins and future seasonal skins. I wish Genshin and Honkai as generous as Action Taimanin.

  3. Only regrets I have so far is that I didnt get Shiranui's mileage skin, lol. I honestly didnt expect to like her as much as I do. Still waiting on you to send it to me! I enjoy being able to gouge large chunks of life off enemies with her. I wish she had some flinch resistance like Murasaki is going to have, but ah well.

As far as gacha goes, I play a few of them. I generally just spend money on what I want and dont care much for meta or having the best. I avoid anything multiplayer in most games since people generally discriminate if you dont have the latest and greatest units/gear to clear stuff in the absolute fastest time possible. I hate all that crap. I do enjoy fighting games though!

  4. "Somebody else out there has it worse than you"
*PTSD flashbacks of FGO's 2020 summer where I spent all the Quartz + Gacha Tickets I was saving for over 6 months and didn't get a single 4-star or higher servant and then they releasead an event with that had free servant I wanted was reward and couldn't participate cause they had the magnificent idea of restricting the thing to the people that had completed the latest chapter of the story mode which is a pain to even get to*

  5. Here's my counter argument to this: there is a gacha game out there that lets you have everything — Azur Lane.
That game literally showers you with currencies that allows you to get everything in the gacha unless you have extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY ABYSSMAL bad luck. The game doesn't thrive from sucking people out of their money from pulling gachas, the people who play that game (like I do) are throwing money at them by buying skins even though it doesn't affect gameplay in any way because 1) it's the most generous gacha game in existence 2) the devs always throw us a bone when they mess up, and 3) this business model hasn't changed at all ever since the game was released, even back when people brushed it off as a no-name Kancolle rip-off.

And look at the damn game now — it's been going strong for 3 years, people love it, people are making tons of fan-art for it, and has a massive community around it.

Meanwhile, you have these devs who are deliberately fucking us over in Global server and people keep giving them money anyways, so they're just gonna keep doing what they're doing while the F2P players get fuck all. The fact that you have to consider "They might shaft us in the future" is already a red fucking flag. You're literally trained to be disappointed and you're still okay with that fact. The bar has been set and I will keep expecting other gacha devs to be better from now on, which this one is a shining example of how not to meet those expectations.

  6. The most invest game I've wasted alot of money on is fgo and some people would consider someone who has spent 2k on the game a whale but I consider myself a small dolphin. There's been like 3 characters in that game who I have whaled for but that's because I knew I wanted them before hand they are the majority of money I have spent on them. I do spend here and there for someone characters but I've learn that you cant have everything in a game unless you have the money for it and even then in the end was it worth it to you? That's the real question. The first I spent a large amount of money in a gacha game was fgo rolling for raikou but I dont regret it because I turned 21 that day, bought my first 3 tall cans of beer and rolled for my favorite character which I spent money on. I had enough for a ten spin but I decided to buy more just in case and I got her on the first roll. I was aiming for np3 but only got one copy. The one of that is roll for what you really want because you'll learn the hard way that you cant have everything especially If you're playing multiple gacha games and raikou was the best birthday present I gave to myself and that's because I knew what I wanted before hand and saved money for her. Dont spend money you dont have for something you might later regret always remember that and ask yourself if it was worth it in the end because if it bothers you the whole day or for sometime then you shouldnt be doing it in the first place. There's nothing with f2p either but do what makes you happy in the end it's just a game.

  7. U say not to worry about not getting everything, but what about characters? I love Emily. I plan on sticking with her and just concentrating on her but would u say it’s “worth” getting the other characters unlocked or would I be fine just sticking to Emily?

  8. Big ups to the 5/5 Shisui guy, thanks for funding the game. Also Shiranui is pretty fun to play, I run 2 green 1 red and use that AoE Water Spear dodge, in PvE it deals crazy AoE damage.

  9. And then there's me…a f2player who has spent almost 1000 gems buying AP pots because I want to max the single character I have..Also rolled for gacha to get the UR weapon of Asagi because the R weapons just don't cut it…now I've pretty much stabilized and now I'm 6-starring today…my mindset is maxing a single character until I can't max them anymore in regards to levels, magatamas, weapons etc. In regards to gameplay, I'm fortunate that I stuck with Asagi early on and she fits my gameplay of hacking and slashing and dodging…I only re-rolled (account) once though…at the second try (and after many lucky pulls) I got asagi her UR and some nice UR supporters….
