The custom skins idea is a great idea but come on, think about it, that would take money out of ea's pocket. Why would they want that?

I like those skins. I like those skins a lot. And yeah, I want something like an emblem editor again. I spent hours trying to get my emblem perfect and slick.

I’ve tried to change region. I’m Chicago but on a st.Louis server. It’s been 100% sweaty. I tried changing a few servers. It might change sbmm for pc, but every Xbox player every server going sweaty

i love how you answered your own question when it came to making skins ourselves. Its not that it cant be done its that they cant make money off it. I hate to say it but EA's influence is very clear especially this season with all the unkept promises and lackluster content. Events with no ltms are just sales and no one can tell me otherwise.
If they add workshop stuff, They lose money… Therefore that idea is impossible, amazing idea, but it won't work out
Unfortunately too little too late by Respawn. I've played since week 1 of launch. After all the bugs, them selling skins that were event exclusives, no cross progression, and just terrible bugs I threw in the towel. I've been grinding Halo and the change of pace is amazing. Played 4 games of Apex for the first time in 2 weeks, every time I died it was by Masters or Predators. I then shut Apex off and honestly don't even want to boot it. Just wanted to enjoy some pubs with an old friend. Sad state of what once was amazing.
are people also geofiltering apex to have server advantage, some preds on pc have 20 ping and under in everygame with never seeing an ounce of lag, and when i am playing in their games i have 80 ping everytime and the players i am playing against can damage me before i even see them shooting on my screen…. my ping says 6 connecting to NY servers, hop into pred lobbies and my ping shoots up to 80/90 while im playing against people in texas who have 12 ping every game somehow…almost as if some people are making themselves have server advantage by using geofiltering or something of the sort…this has just been established as cheating in the new Halo infinite in tournaments.. <3 Jmeyels

Add content or ability to create your own emblem or gun color? The creators of the most expensive free game will tell you that they can’t do it, too complicated. Or in respawn language “well if we gave you more customization abilities it would deter you from buying new skins and such”

Taking back something that players didn't earn/buy doesn't make them a grinch or Scrooge.. giving them a $7 event pack was also completely unnecessary, yet you twist that into a negative too? They're jerks for taking AND for giving, interesting..
As much as its a really awesome idea, creating your own skins in the game would not go well. Sure BO1 Emblems were 75% unique or cool or something interesting. But there is the 25% that did racist/prejudice shit and drew nude women/men. This is most likely what respawn is avoiding (EA could def make money off this btw. Selling custom shapes/colors packs etc). Not a lot of games go for the custom skin stuff for this reason I think. They could though take the route that Halo did with their emblems where they give you a set amount of stuff to use similar to BO1 but you cannot change the location of things. Hurts customization but would make it safer. Maybe something they could do it add it to where as a reward for the "prestige" that people have been talking about for people who have hit level 500 already. Where you can unlock certain custom badges that you can change the look for a bit to show off that you are of a certain prestige but put your own kind of flare to it without making it turn into something bad.
