3. Imagine workin' all day and try to grind ranked (i am currently diamond) on your free time.
   The matches would last forever, solo q was goin' to be suicidal and like arenas you would have to play forever to achieve a descent rank.
   It's not everybody that likes comp style or also have the amount of time Mac has to play Apex, people grind rank for fun, to land in places that is not capital city (sweaty 3 stack pubs sucks), more thrilling matches, challengin' themselves against similar oponents. In the end it is a more balanced (most of the time) pub game as well and people grind for diferent reasons.

11. If Mac's idea was put into practice then endgame fights would be the only (smart) form of engagement. If the win is the only important factor then why take a fight at any other point in the game while rotating? Just play recon + defensive comps and wait it out. Sure you may need to fight for meds/gear on occasion but this idea would pretty much just eradicate early and midgame fights. I think what Mac is trying to implement is a playstyle in ranked that is more akin to competitive play and while this is could maybe work to some extent, I think there are other ways to bridge the gap from the higher ranks

15. Before KP points I would get team mates who would land in the middle of nowhere and rat right off spawn, they wouldn't even look for a weapon.

16. I say forget the idea of no KP. Incentivize players by not having a max KP. When people hit max KP they also start to rat and just sit in buildings because they are max KP and have no reason to fight. I'd love to see people playing hyper aggressive at high ranks going for big wins that way.

17. No kp ranked would be a miserable experience ESPECIALLY on storm point. Yea you’re still incentivized to kill while half the lobby is incentivized to just sit and grief you with snipers/farm evo while you attempt to do that. It wouldn’t even be the sort of “gateway to comp” pros and content creators are looking for. Edge teams would just get bullied out of existence.

19. I wouldn't play ranked. I come in to have fun and kill people as I move up. I don't go from killing folks in pubs to sitting around in ranked. That's fucking stupid. Ranked games are already 30 minutes. So now you want me and other folks to turn it into 20 minute loot seshes?!?! Gtfoh. I'm not even casual but imagine them.

    "ranked should be a path to pro" idiots in the comments…. if your good enough in the current system you can stream and i promise youll get noticed, just because you made diamond once i promsie you still have ways to go

    not to mention anyone else get those teammates that literally avoid every fight… run around in circles and camp refusing to shoot their gun… and when you spectate them and they are literally forced to fight a team they cant even control 301 recoil XD

    thats what the game will turn into… at least people who play for kp actually have decent mechanics and gunplay and if they dont have those skills playing for kp is the best way to gain the skills…..

    running around for 20 min aand hoping you get a god spot will kill the game for me, just because i want to squad wipe every team doesnt mean im not playing for the win?????? you know in a br you have to kill other teams to make it to the end……

I mean with that logic Id play crypto and valk and just 3rd party with my drone… Like with that logic Id run away every chance I get and no I wouldnt feel the need to take a fight when someone else can take the fight and I can help or grief the fight. I can grief a a fight without even shooting my gun. Just throw nades and use a bow…

    With that logic its about not being seen all of a sudden and that would cause more campers in buildings.

    Hell with a valk loba and the new character youd almost be un touchable… just grab ult accels and nades. The bow would be the most important weapon all of a sudden

35. i think his hot take is the complete opposite, if we take away kp most players won’t wanna fight now because it get in the way of placement and will just rat. IMO we need to boost the kp points that way more ppl want to fight rather than get placement, idk if that would work but they should try it out one split lol
