The Illaoi skins werent cancelled. They were a part of a voting event, and they didnt win. Resistance Illaoi won the vote
I don’t think the Kai’sa or Neeko ones are necessarily cancelled. I could honestly see those coming back as part of the Super Galaxy skin line.
As for the water Sona and that dragon/soul Janna skin, could totally see those as legendaries visited in a couple years or so (Janna probably sooner than Sona). And Crime City Kayn wasn’t cancelled persay, cause he was never confirmed just cause most of these are skin concepts. I think they’ll revisit him in the skin theme maybe next year or after based on sales probably.

I think the sol event should've lasted much longer and included all of the other 30 sentinels skin, so it feels more like the ruination really affects the world at large and the people of runeterra had to stand together to really fight against of viego. I know it will be really hard to cram all of them into the client graphics novel, but it would have given the riot team more time to work on the ending, cinematic,… and time to build up to the grand finale
