The events of Resident Evil 8: Village take place three years after the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Ethan Winters returns as the main character. Ethan has been shacked up with his wife Mia and daughter Rosemary under the protection of the BSAA when Chris Redfield comes out of nowhere and kidnaps and brings him to a mysterious European village. Ethan has to explore the village to find and rescue his daughter Rose.

If this was fleshed out over the whole game, we could have really had an awesome villain out of Dimitrescu.
it's not really Demetrescu's family or Ethan's fault. It was actually Miranda's at the start. She put them into this mess

I wonder what would've happened if Ethan passed out too long on the outskirts and Heisenberg just went ahead with his coup, mainly what happens with the other two (since Moreau will probably stick by Miranda) and we get this three side war with Ethan who gets discovered and briefed by Chris and his squad (then possibly four with BSAA's BOWs). It's crazy Miranda had enough time to split Rose into those flasks and revive her soul or whatnot all within the time the van gets knocked over, makes you wonder how long Ethan was knocked out by that Neo Umbella guy at the beginning.
If you don't know, according to RE .Net, Cassandra is the tough one and has killed the most players. She's the middle daughter and the butcher, hence Bela walking into the dungeon and saying, "I can't believe Cassandra caused all this mess", because Cassandra was the one feeding on the servants in the dungeon. You fight Cassandra in the Armory, where you have to move the shelf and then blow up the wall. RE .Net reports that she has killed the highest amount of unprepared players, since she can attack you while you're trying to move the shelf, not to mention her flies will interrupt you as well. Cassandra is the bad ass, and I think the developers predicted this ahead of time, which is why Lady D specifically calls for her to hunt you down!

I live how she actually cares about her daughter's since most video games the antagonist doesn't have a problem hurting/betraying thier relatives

Lady Dimitrescu was a good mother. Yes its a game, yes its an RE game, yes they did many bad things, but I hate knowing I caused her anguish. You know she truly loved them because she was willing to defy Mother Miranda for them. Even in her diary, where she can be honest and vulnerable, there is a warmth in how she discusses them and their "birth." There is warmth in her brief interactions. She wanted Mother Miranda to give her Ethan so her girls could play. She took care to seeing they were protected, the windows are covered up throughout the castle. Its endearing that one can find their 3 dresses hanging in a bureau upstairs and that in the dining room there is a chair for Lady D and opposite are 3 little chairs for them. The family has a cute dynamic, Lady D calls for Cassandra to bring Ethan's head, Daniela mentions being happy, and Bela says her sister really made a mess. I truly hate knowing she died when Rose wasn't even there. From her perspective, Ethan broke into her home, stole/destroyed her belongings, killed her daughters. Her whole boss battle is telling, her lines essentially centre around them, its personal. In the end, she chose her daughters over Mother Miranda and it cost her dearly.
I wanted more time with the Dimitrescus and the castle, they were the most interesting, fun, complex, and the castle was as beautiful as the ladies themselves. I loved their family dynamic. They deserved much more and much more development, they were profoundly underutilised. Sorry, I still feel very raw.

There's actually 1 more event with Lady D and Cassandra where she calls her one more time and gives her another warning, but I don't exactly know how it is triggered 🤔

Watching these playthroughs, watching these assholes start to panic and freak out, loosing their "cool", was bliss. Especially knowing what they did to innocent people.
