I think the pets die so fast because it is still the same % from hunters hp before the stat squish. Everything is more bursty now so the pets having a very small hp pool after squish hits their survivability hard. My hunter is surv main so they live a bit longer afaik compared to bm.

I think some people are just cursed in their Queues. This is usually what happens when I q as horde too.
