Yesterday news came out from AMD that they were looking to release their own Nvidia DLSS competitor Super Resolution for both the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles in the future. This could have fairly large implications on how this generation plays out depending on what AMD is able to deliver. Switch sales continue to roll along with numbers out of Japan showing another big week for the system as well as Bravely Default II’s first week.

The dlss feature seems awesome where they can make a game maybe 1080 p 60fps and then upscale it to look 4k and keep the Frame rate. It's a game changer.

I still think that mid generation consoles will still be wanted for a few reasons. 1 is to revive console sales to another batch of people. Another would be for the increase in memory as it gets cheaper, as well as a smaller model. For the last 2 generations I have purchased at least 2 consoles with larger storage capacity.

I can see with AMD's Super res. that game developers can make the game 1080P. And let PS5 and XBOX SERIES bring it up to 4k. And take less of SSD to store the game on the console itself. And not be as big of a download to get it digitally.

Bravely default 2 meh, not into cutsey chibi graphic styles. Other than that it looks like a generic jrpg.
The problem with Nintendos digital games. The prices are usually higher than a physical copy of a game. I bought the physical BioShock collected for $20 because the eshop version was still $50. Ridiculous.
