I don't know if anyone had suggested this… but why not have gold drop shields allow the wearer to be revived faster with no other benefit rather than self-rez, that would eliminate the one-use need and with it being as rare as it is, it should leave it in a more balanced state amongst players in all ranks and in pubs.
Let the average player base be able to play in tournaments like in competitive!!!
I would give anything for ranked being more competitive. I am sick of getting effing level 50’s as my teammates in platinum. If people took gold seriously, these noobs wouldn’t be able to get all the way up to plat. Some people may say I should stop solo queuing, but I’m 14, have no friends that play apex, and my parents don’t want me interacting with random strangers on the internet.
For rank what I want is getting matched with good teammate not bad teammates
*Drinks Sneak Energy * Interesting, but in all seriousness treat it like Brawlhalla. In ranked you can have items on or off. In tournaments obviously only weapons spawn but the choice is there. Then again if custom is gonna be "difficult" to do I can understand wanting a mirrored experience.

I think a sort of problem with the gold knockdown shield saying that it should be an introduction to comps is that you’re saying apex is supposed to be a career or work. Seems out of touch.

The reason I don't play it as much as I used to is because they won't play limited-time modes. The funnest thing to do is a four-man Squad in Duos
Maybe they should listen to the casuals more than the "pros" considering we keep the game afloat. This is a game not a profession. I've already put this game on the back burner and havent even logged in yet for season 11. Overpriced cash grab full of cheaters with absolutely nothing to work towards.

In my opinion, the current ranked system is just not cutting it
The solo KP system encourages solo dropping, getting a few kills and putting your whole squad at a 2v3 disadvantage for the rest of the game to camp out placement points.
It just doesn't work for me. A system that would encourage actual teamwork is so much better for this game moving forward in ranked. So I think the team KP system would be better

People who think that the golden Rez shield is something to be changed don’t realise how rare they are coupled with how difficult it is to pull off, first it’s gold rarity, you’ll get like 2 maybe 3 per game, you’re not guaranteed to find it, and it relies on people not finishing you off while you’re down and it actually takes LONGER than a standard rez, why is the golden knockdown shield BAD, but lifelines auto rez GOOD, you should be rewarded for pulling off the rez because the opposing team failed to finish you off, it isn’t hard to realise when there’s a rez shield either because the downed guys don’t explode into boxes when everyone’s down, and they’ll pull the rez shield up when you shoot them, on top of all of that, it’s a one time use that’s again LONGER but also makes a lot of noise when you use it, if someone let you live, for no reason and you only get one chance to live you should be rewarded for succeeding right? That’s why the golden knockdown shield EXISTS AT ALL right? Anyone else think this is just really stupid? Or is it just me?
Gold shield should be 125 hp and i would take out the double shield per cell ability and add the passive shield regen like Watson so it isnt broken

I'm a casual player so don't play ranked much. Just love the game. Its not often u get a FREE game that a casual like me enjoys jamming 3 hours a day and has been since season 0.
So tired of them not making ranked like comp. It seems to get further away with any change. Badly need it to be like comp.
As a software dev with some experience working with servers, I think I can shed some light on the private match thing. To implement it into the game, they'll have to create a system that allows only certain people to make custom lobbies because each match does take a sizable chuck of system resources to run. If you just started spamming custom lobbies so over the place without the proper systems in place, then the servers could easily get overloaded. They probably could give everyone private lobbies easily, but they have to make sure something like that wouldn't cause big issues overall.
Maybe the gold knockdown should either be a full bubble (with white health) or be able to be held up while your teammate is resing you.

I want custom games. I want to play with friends and host a lan party and all this good stuff. Stupid to play just with 2 friends. Would be just great to invite 60 friends on same server and have fun.

Ranked shouldn't be as competitive as the ALGS. I mainly play ranked for fun, I don't like playing with randoms in pubs, so I play with friends and family in ranked.
I don't think ranked should be as competitive as ALGS as it would make even the easiest grind harder for casual players and I do believe it would breed more toxicity in this community just look at ranked and ranked arenas they aren't the nicest right now
Edit: with the gold knock wanting to be removed I think this proves how upset these guys are of being robbed of a team wipe and to be fair it's more rng than anything else so I think they should stay in cause if you can get one off and wipe the other team that's fair enough

Ngl sounds like they have no fucking idea
Idea: Make a gold knock the same as a gold bag but REVERSED. so it heals you the same as a bag would if you have it and youre knocked, then revived. the person reviving you doesnt need it or a bag.
