Apex Legends Angers Community Over Halloween Event Skins and they have a very solid reason to be. The new collection event wont allow any single skin to be purchased, you can try to buy the themed packs but it can cost up to 40 packs to get the item you want or you can craft it for double the normal cost. This could cost you the same as a collection event except you get no heirloom at the end. This is all happening while the game still struggles to find footing and connection the servers after the latest collection event.

The advice given by shrugtal at 1:45 is just plain shortsighted.
Look, you can spend 800 crafting metals on one epic event skin that you don’t want if you really, really want to do that. Or you can wait for a good recolor to come out and spend 1,200 crafting metals on two legendary skins (the base legendary plus its recolor.) Recolors are as rare as event skins btw.
Choices:
– 800 crafting for one epic skin (event).
– 1,200 crafting for two legendary skins (store + recolor).
– 2,400 crafting for one legendary skin (event).
Should be an easy choice. Oh and you won’t care about these Halloween skins in two months from now when the Christmas/next heirloom event happens. They’ll be old news. You do you though.

I think it’s a bit silly really, they knew these skins had been leaked and knew very well that people actually thought they were really well designed. As much as we don’t know what will happen, I’m assuming that these skins are going to cost a lot more than the regular amount in order to incentivise people to get the skins instead of waiting 2 seasons (6 months) which in all fairness, is a long time to wait just to lower the prices for what I will remind people are just costumes for a character you like that you don’t even see when you play them.
What makes it worse is knowing how much money they raked in from the last collection event and now they do this without really having a care of the fact that no heir loom is given here, just skins and banners.
It definitely makes it clear this is a move intended to make money (which inevitably they will) and it doesn’t look like there’s much we can do other than shame them for being a company that’s trying to fill their pockets with money spent on something that doesn’t match its value.
So are you telling me the pose for bloodhound will stay even after the events ends and we can simply craft only the pose?

Don't you love that they come up with 90 ways to suck up your money every day, but it's been weeks and you still get dc'd from most of your games and when you do get in a game its a 50/50 you have both teammates then another 50/50 that they're connected

I've just about gave up on Apex. My servers are still trash. I have to restart almost every game I play to be loaded into an already started match, hoping my teammates didn't drop hot so I'm not already dead. Then rush to find loot. It's just not even fun anymore. I can't believe how they ruined such a fantastic game

Everything is overpriced on apex. Spending 15 dollars for a meh skin. In league of legends they have 30 dollar skin but they have 16 special animations just for your abilities. Like step your game up or cut the prices

Oh EA really do love their loot boxes. Prices have got ridiculous. I love the game but servers should be sorted, packet loss is horrendous.

I'm very important question if we have Apex packs linked to specific characters will we have a higher chance of getting those skins for those characters like the bloodhound packs we got for completing the event?
