Apex Legends Genesis Patch! Octane Nerf, Revenant Climb, Weapon Balancing, Arena Changes & More!

Hey guys and welcome back to another Apex Legends video! Today I wanted to go over with you guys all of the major changes revealed for the Genesis Collection Event. These patch notes will go live on June 29th, the same day that the collection event will become available.

In these patch notes we have a bunch of changes for legends such as Octane, Revenant, Lifeline and Bloodhound. As well as some weapon changes for the 30 30, P2020 and Longbow.

The Arenas playlist has also gotten some changes specifically to the economy and how much certain weapons, abilities and items cost. Some of the legends abilities have also been slightly changed for Arenas.

Towards the end of this video I go over all of the brand new skins that I noticed from the Genesis collection event. Not all of these are from the event packs but just wanted to point out the ones I noticed.

Also Revenant is going to be getting the next heirloom in the Genesis collection event!!

  1. You can see a clip of Revenan'ts updated passive at 1:09 (Got this from the dev stream)
What do you guys think of the collection events as well these legend/weapon changes?

  2. I personally think the devs made the wrong choice with octanes jump pad. I personally think instead of nerfing octane they should have focused on buffing other characters. Octanes jump pad is fun and that accompanied by his quirky personality is what makes the character fun to play. By increasing the cool down by 30 seconds you are taking away a lot of combat options for him and his team. Yes it will reduce the amount of people that play him. But do people really want their favorite characters nerfed that badly?

  3. When he told me that revenant cant climb infinitely but he can climb very high I was scared he couldn't climb to the top of JAEgers parking garage dont call me a nerd or a narcissist but me and friends call the building In Fragment that he demonstrates the buffed climb for revenant, "Jaegers parking garage"

  6. They are completely destroying octane, the reason I use him is because I can get so much good movement and it’s so much fun jumping on your enemies with the stim and the jump pad but because of the nerfs, using the stim does a lot of damage and it one use of the stim can change everything in the battle and there will be so much less times we can use the jump pad. Honestly, I don’t really Mind the jump pad nerf but I really felt the stim nerf
