I would personally say the skill cealing is good but the matchmaking is making it seem higher than it is. They need to make the matchmaking better and you should be able to get qeued with the same persons who are lvl 500 and 3xpred player for seasons on end.
Consistent platinum player here, diamond once. I can't wall jump or super-glide, and struggle to bunny hop 🙁 I don't think these skills are basic. Maybe at your level of play, merchant.
its honestly really having to rely on yourself due to your teammates not knowing when to fight and when to rotate and thats something you cant teach alot of players wanna blindly push every squad
I think that apex has gotten sweatier and sweatier to be Honest Even in casual games everyone is sweating
I got killed like 12 players today with over 60,000 kills. One of them got TWENTY THOUSAND KILLS just in season 7. People need to chill
God Merchant's tap-strafes are so nice to watch
me only knowing thee basics of movement
I mean as time goes on ppl will naturally get better at the game as well. It could also mean that better players are being attracted as apex legends does let skilled players shine more than practically all other fps battle royal games
me: excited because first time playing apex
the champion squad: level 500, 1560 kill, 1060 win
you forgot about the old bunny hopping while healing i was so good at it with op lifeline
Your so right about the player base skill level, I’ve been playing since season 0 (did take a couple seasons off) but it’s crazy how much has changed since back then on KC haha.
PS; was pleasantly surprised that you chose to play with teammates 🙂 so great! Your such a good teammate too!
All I know is if I was playing at s0 like I play now I would’ve gotten a 20 badge. And I pretty much do a max of 800-2000 dog per game now.
Wall jumping consistently is hard on controller without an insanely high sensitivity
As a PC player, tap strafing and super gliding are rarely seen. It's far from common. Which is good for us who can do it because the noobs can't hit us.
Definitely aim, and movement are huge factors in everyone’s improvement, but I think it’s even more so that better players are distinguished by their abilities usage, speed of thought, calm in difficult situations, and Gun fight positioning. I used to get rolled by diamonds, masters, and preds, I still do, but practicing my thought process in gunfights has helped me win a few fights against these top players, more so then aim and movement skill.
Honestly I think supergliding is a lot more difficult than tapstrafing right now. Tapstrafing has a pretty simple input and there's no real timing involved with it because of being able to bind move forward to scroll wheel, so it's more just practical application of tapstrafing that makes it difficult and I guess the input if you feel letting go of W is "weird". Meanwhile, Supergliding has a precise input window lasting only a few literal frames that can fluctuate depending on your frame rate, plus screwing it up has, in general, much more punishing implications since you're either standing completely still for a fraction of a second that could get you beamed, or not launch you far or fast enough out of cover for someone to track you much easier coming out of it.
Inmagine Apex with SBMM
"so anyway I started blasting"
-Me a console player
I missed 3-5 seasons and I have to catch up to all of these new tricks, this is torture 😭
Lousy load out lost that match
To be quite honest some of them should be patched out of the game the way bunny hopping was addressed especially since some of these mechanics are being used through hardware or macros. These little nuances are fine and dandy for highest level pro play but not good if you want new players to stick around especially if the game isn't going to tell you they exist. *edit in the future all caustic traps that are friendly have outlines enemy ones do not just for quick glance checks
I stopped caring about ranked badges long time ago because I'm personally just P4 but I've won so many gunfights against masters and preds.
You guys will be surprised how skillful you can be when you aren’t limited to 190 FPS and these dogshit servers
Yeah coming to apex as a noob has not been easy words of noob btw I only started playing in season 9
well 5k kill 1m dmg wraith with 20bomb in gold lobby
“cOmpEte WiTh pLaYer aT tHe sAme LEagUe”
Apex will become the most hardest game in history and you’re force to actually play with your friends whom you just have around in your friends list for no reason but one day you’re force to go on there and get some friends to play
I can't do any of that
