Apex Legends New Level Cap Increase, Cross Progression, Next Gen Update Release Date Delay continues to impact the game. Repsawn Dev’s have let us know they plan to add a new level cap going past 500, along with a statement that Next-Gen would be in 2021, and that Cross progression will be added to the game even though in the past they said it would be impossible to do so. So what keeps making Apex Legends delay this updates to allow it to compete with other first person shooters and battle royals? Well it appears that a major issue is due to the fact the servers continue to go down and that impacts them making upgrades to the game. We will look at what Respawn has told us for upcoming dates for this advances and why they continue to get pushed back.

I am 10000% for next gen update. But I don’t think we should add cross progression to a game that has so many bugs and server issues as it is. I have zero confidence that respawn would get it right the first time. Their “fix” today broke the game worse for me today. Day by day Battlefield and COD are looking better and better. Super sad to see as I think apex could be the best game of all time. But they keep forking it up.

At this point the only thing that I really want is cross progression since I made the mistake of playing apex on a Japanese account for ps4 and I always have to exchange my currency to Yen because of it. Cross progression would allow me to buy with USD
At the end of the day, games with way more complexities have been able to add cross progression (destiny, fort) it’s EA and they will lose money if they add cross progression so they are delaying it as long as possible.
Won't happen this year. EA won't want anything to take the focus off 2042 whenever it actually launches.

Why would they add cross progression? They would lose money.
Cross progression should just be that progression. If theyre trying to let people merge accounts thats just making it way more difficult. Just continue 1 account on all devices. Not their fault if someone has 15 smurfs and want to merge them all. That would be dumb. Also would lead to people making more smurfs because lower level accounts get more packs and also they usually get better items. Ive seen way to many lvl 30s with an heirloom for it to not be true that lower lvl accounts get better stuff for player retention. Merging accountd would just lead to people smurfing for loot boxes then joining it to their main later on
