  1. Man I hear you say you aren't that good but I disagree. Secondly, we are at a rough spot in Apex and content creators such as yourself and another favorite of mine Rag Tagg, make me want to boot up the Xbox and drop hot. Yeah there ItzTimmy and other gods but you guys (Rag) make the best content with gameplay and personality. I was scared when you were thinking about trying out new games because you thought you were bad at the game but friend, you don't have to bring us your best games just play and be yourself like you have and we will be here we don't watch because you're the best, we watch because you are The F***ing Gaming Merchant. Hope you're well!

  2. If you want to enjoy diamond lobbies you don't want it to be on World's Edge. Honestly Storm Point has been my favorite ranked split so far. Everyone doesn't die at 1 or 2 POIs and the layout of the map makes it so fights don't just happen in/around buildings.

  3. I feel like it's a great change, but I do think that consistently getting high placement through understanding rotations, landings and position is a huge part of what makes ranked feel so satisfying, it feels great when you feel like you made a good IGLing choice. We already have pubs for crazy killing, if ranked ended up the same we'd have less variety. The only other thing I'd say about the new KP system is that while it takes into account who you kill for better RP it still affects you the same as the one being killed. So if I kill a predator I gain more points but if I'm killed by a predator I still lose the same amount of points as I would from a plat player. I dont think there's too much that can be done about it, but it's just a thought that came up.

  4. It doesn't make any sense that ranked is the same, people hotzoning and dying before first ring. I think low ranks are actually more healthier because people spread evenly across the map. In plat it's more people just hot dropping which makes the games dull. In diamond it gets smarter again, at least in earlier seasons.

  5. I dont like this system at all. It doesnt really represent someones skill instead it just shows how much someone grinds. Matchmaking is influenced by hidden stats. The plat lobbies my friend plays in arent the same plat lobbies i play in. Why is that? Shouldnt the rank determine what skill level my opponents and teammates have?
Additionally respawn should add some sort of rp profit through dmg or team kp or something like that. It happens relatively often that i die in a game with 800, 1000, 1500+ dmg and no single kp, even when i knocked a few guys. But the game doesnt care. Apex legends is not only a game about gun fights and abilities, its also about resource management. The more dmg i do the less resources are in my opponents hands. But it doesnt matter. When my mate does 12 dmg then its his kill even if i did all the work and did like 500 dmg in that fight. That kinda sucks. Respawn should add a benefit system or something where you can earn additional rp based on performance not only kp

  6. @Gaming Merchant I want you to go for masters. I know that it’s time consuming etc., but you have more than enough mechanical skill and a solo q masters journey would show you what actual ranked is like. Everyone drops hot and dies early in plat, but the second you hit diamond, people start playing properly (mostly). Basically, plat will not give you a good understanding of ranked so your advice will not be very relevant or useful. It’s fine if you don’t hit masters. It’s about the journey; not the destination

  7. To quote valk "this is a blood sport, what's wrong with you" I honestly like the focus on kills more then on placement but they should make placement a little more worth it then it is at this exact moment

  8. I played a squad ranked game with fill on but got no teammates. Managed to get 7 kills that game and 9th place but when I died I got 0 RR.

If you ever play squad fill ranked and don’t get at least one teammate just fly of the map and save yourself the trouble.

  9. I like the current ranked scoring way better than the old. Yes, it's a BR, but hiding until the end doesn't make you a good player. Ranked should be where a casual player can go to not get put in a match with high skill players that are way out of their league.

  10. There are so many occasions where you don't get KP even though you were present the entire fight, Hence why Ive been playing Blood hound and Crypto for that easy assist money on top of my kills. Easy diamond every season.

  11. See the RP system makes sense to me, it should be harder to make RP higher the rank. If I kill a pred it’s really beneficial but I kill a silver I get nothing and that makes sense, I think the camping till end is good it makes for difficult games, it shouldn’t be easy to win and having a harder system roots out the low tier players who are getting boosted

  12. I've been solo queuing through diamond. And I've felt it's been easier than ever because I really only need to focus on me just killing people. Getting into the top 4+ with max KP is so much more worth it. Instead of me feeling like I need to focus on keeping my squad alive as well, so we can all make it to end game. I dont think I'll make it to pred, but masters should be no sweat.

  13. I hate the fact that team points arent a thing. I can do a bunch of damage and get robbed for kp if that person pops a cell oe syringe and then my team finishes them off for like 25-50 damage while i get nothing for it

  14. For me it feels like it encourages bad plays. Now that you get more points for kills, you're a lot more inclined to just fight people, someone is 50 hp and you rush to get that sweet +12 and get downed cause you didn't really think about the state of the game. Before you'd be a little more hesitant of rushing in, because you know placement was an important factor too. Sure, it makes games less boring, there's not 18 squads alive at ring 5, but it also makes games so much more chaotic. The amount of times I've been aped by a team just for them to die right after, when usually they wouldn't do that, and they did that because extra RP. Sometimes its really good, but sometimes its just as bad or worse.

  15. i feel if they put a multiplier on kp based on placement (ie: a kill at start of match is worth less than a kill with 3 squads left) and then leave placement points the same, it would decrease aggression and tendencies to hot drop while also keeping it from being a ratfest.

  16. my ranked in plat the past week has been 7+ teams in round 5 almost every game im so glad i don’t have to play against these weird smurf nerds and just really annoying playstyles

  17. I believe the game should be predicated on survival that’s what I battle royal is about.

Of course you’ll have to fight and kill to survive. But I’d rather have a slower early game that ramps up in intensity as the game goes on. Then the climax of the game being in the beginning.

It’s about survival not how many people you can kill.

  18. Ok so im confused because no one knows about you but you're literally better than timmy. Like i watch his gameplay then i watch yours and you get higher kills and just seem better in general

  19. I think a good ranked game is just about 20 mins long and a good pub game is maybe less than 15. When either pubs or ranked get longer than that they lose character to me. I want those big epic fights with ≈10 teams in a fairly small ring. It’s hard to say if placement matters more than kp i think that a bias either way is going to create situations that wouldn’t normally happen. I personally just wish that i wasn’t matching against ultra sweats every game when i might just wanna enjoy a normal game. I remember when i was facing people in my skill range each match was both fun and stressful. (I miss the fun part)

  20. Personally I think mid-tier players are the ones who benefited the most on the KP meta change, I enjoy it but I can see why it's such a bad system on the highest tiers it literally griefs a lot of teams when people start YOLO-ing.

  21. I think that assists cooldown should be wayyy longer if not removed cus ive had many times where i fry a guy untill he is one shot, but then he evades my shots for a while and my teammate with a sniper 100m away gets the last shot and i dont get an assist

  22. definitely diamond and up it's better to play more safer, and 3rd party should be top priority to get kp. because you have to treat everyone like they're very good players. definitely should be a mentality when solo queuing. won't be able to win your own 3v3 with potato teammates. so have to rely on 3rd party
Pros does focus on placement more and ofc predicting if they're gonna get 3rd partied or just to bail a fight. they definitely have the feel, and they're always in range of 3rd party every second.
ranked players rn have a long way to go, to dissect pro players game sense, consistent aim, and decision making.
